Adamson University moves onto the Finals as they defeated University of St. La Salle-Bacolod
yesterday. The Lady Falcons beat their opponents in 4 sets: 26-24, 22-25, 25-17, 25-17. The tandem of Angela Benting and Nerissa Bautista headed the Falcons’ offensive onslaught with 19 and 21 won points respectively.
As for the Lady Eagles, they defeated their semi-finals opponents, National University, in 3 sets however, this win has been forfeited because of a violation committed (an unfortunate error committed by first time head coach Charo Soriano). Bea Tan of Ateneo was entered into the team’s lineup originally as the team libero. But Bea played as a regular player during the NU match. Under the FIVB rules, a libero cannot revert back to playing as a regular player.
Ateneo will face off National University once again for a sudden death game tomorrow, May 12, 4pm at San Juan Arena gym. It’s going to be a heart beaker should Ateneo lose this one.

Darn it, we’re still working on the new and improved Spikeithard website design. It’s going to be a full website revamp so watch out for it soon. I’ve been kinda busy lately but was able to find time to watch the April 8 (Tuesday) games live at The Arena.

February 27, 2008 (Wednesday). I wanted the Lady Falcons to win their first ever UAAP Volleyball championship title, but not today. Why? Because I didn’t have time to watch Game 2 day live at The Arena. So I was really hoping FEU will win their games so that there will be a Game 3 day this Sunday (March 2).
I was able to witness snippets of the women’s volleyball game live on Studio23 while chatting with you guys at the same time. (Don’t worry, we’ll setup a chatbox again this Sunday). I envy Charo Soriano and Karla Bello who I saw on TV taking photos during the game. Here are the game results based on the latest UAAP Volleyball Daily Bulletins:
