A very humble and articulate Coach Charo Soriano of Ateneo gets interviewed right after the Lady Eagles win their first Shakey’s V-League championship title. Charo becomes the first and youngest coach to win a championship crown for Ateneo. Here’s the interview posted on YouTube:
“Happy lang kami that a lot of people are supporting us; a lot of people are always there for us. We haven’t been a winning team. We’re not what you call a champion team, even… being a champion athlete is actually knowing how to lose. Knowing yung feeling na natatalo and not wanting for that same feeling to be with you all the time pushes you to grow and be better.”
Other achievements the Lady Eagles accomplished during the Shakey’s V-League Season 8 tournament were: Fille Cainglet – Game 1 Player of the Game, guest player Lithawat Kesinee – Overall MVP, team libero Dennise Michelle Lazaro – Best Receiver, setter Jamenea Ferrer – Finals MVP, star player Alyssa Valdez – Game 2 Player of the Game.
