Who’s running at the Globe Run for Home 4 this Sunday?

I’m taking the time off from volleyball for now after I injured my back last week with the Thursday Volleyball Madness group. It was so painful I couldn’t bend over to tie my shoe laces nor sit upright without grinning in pain. This scared me so I decided to go to the doctor at the Marikina Orthopedic Clinic. Fortunately, no fracture or anything severe. It was just a case of pulled back muscle or something. I just needed Cataflam and this other medicine that knocks me off in seconds, and a few weeks of rest = no volleyball.

But what saddened me was when the doctor pointed out another factor why I am prone to back injuries. He pointed to the x-ray and said yan, yan ang isa pang dahilan! I asked, huh? saan po doc? Then he said, ayan ohh… yung malaki mong tiyan!

I was getting a bit heavy on the belly so whenever I jump, or set when playing volleyball, it adds a lot of stress to my back. I have to lose a bit of weight from now on according to doc. And that’s why I’m joining the Globe Run for Home 4 at the Bonifacio Global City this March 27, 2011 (Sunday) 4:00am.
