It’s time to press the panic button, at least for some teams. Among all teams, UE, UP and NU are teams who are looking ahead of things, at least for recruitment and development for next season. They are there to spoil things around. Needless to say, they will try to challenge and win over teams who are aspiring to be on top or to achieve something. Oh believe me, UAAP’s crazy. Anything in the UAAP is crazy. Anything can happen. They may be in the cellar, but they can pull teams down, and pull teams up.
On the other hand, for the top teams, La Salle, UST, Ateneo, Adamson and FEU, as much as possible, winning games is a must. Except for La Salle who has a two-game cushion, Adamson is in much trouble. Not only will they face a team which is getting better like UP but they will also face teams who are very likely to beat them; Ateneo and FEU. UST is in relax mode. I mean, after this Sunday against FEU, they will now have a week of preparation against La Salle. Though La Salle will face lowly teams NU and UE, they only have two to three days of preparation against UST. Ateneo meanwhile will only face UE and have a week of preparation against Adamson.
How exciting, isn’t it? The Final Four picture is not yet clear up to now, I think only La Salle, UST and Ateneo are sure Final Four teams. Of course, that’s if Ateneo wins over UE tomorrow. Have fun on a very exciting weekend.
Might I add that the men’s game tomorrow are very exciting. UP vs Ateneo is a very exciting game because it is a #4 vs #5 game while the La Salle-FEU at 11 AM is a #2 vs #3 game. So yeah, I might be at The Arena tomorrow from 9 AM to 6 PM.
THE GREEN CORNER #7: URGENCY

The remaining games are very exciting. Even the main game tomorrow is as exciting since we all know Adamson has a hard time against blocking teams. UP is one of the best blocking teams and thus, making the game tomorrow crucial but exciting. On Sunday of course, it will be the volleyball rivalry featuring UST and FEU. Who will prevail? Let’s see.
UE-AdMU
First Round Encounter: ADMU def. UE – 25-23, 25-21, 25-20
I have a feeling that this game will be very boring. Ateneo is a team very much peaking while UE is not disappointing nor pleasing. They are just playing their game in my opinion. Ateneo has become a very serious threat when Bea Pascual, their senior middle blocker, have improved here in the second round. It was only in the second round that Bea Pascual woke up and played a steady game. In fact, I was impressed at her in their game against NU, FEU and UP. Her spikes were very hard as compared before. I don’t know what this girl ate but she will surely be a threat in the coming games. Dzi Gervacio improved a lot in their UP game. Against UP, the team was very disciplined, they were not the usual Ateneo team who would underestimate the weaker team. I hope they will still be the same because for me, they can win this one in three convincing sets.
AdU-UP
First Round Encounter: AdU def. UP – 25-19, 27-25, 25-18
The main game might be an exciting one. However, that remains to be seen. UP is an inconsistent team. They play their best in sets that they want to play and play their worst in other sets. However, if UP will put determination and will push their game to the limit, I see Adamson having a hard time in this game. However, Adamson is a disciplined team. They have a very good floor defense that even though their players are off, they can still make do with their floor defense. Jill Gustilo however is not in her usual form. I hope she does well in the coming days. Carmela Lopez and Eileen Quejas are the key players for UP to win. If they both play well, then they have a chance of upsetting or forcing the game to 4 to 5 sets. But if Adamson will have a steady game, they can easily win this in three sets.

NU! I’m wishing NU wins. Not because I hate DLSU but, don’t we all love underdogs?
Or bulldogs for this matter. They should win at least once and if that would be against La Salle, it would be like winning the entire 2nd round. I love NU. The way they celebrate when they win a set. It’s both heartbreaking and tear-inducing.
UST vs FEU na! This has always been exciting. Regardless of the line-up, both teams deliver when they’re up against each other. So this is gonna be soo0o0oo0 exciting!

@Spikeithard, Pasensya na sa iba kong comments. Either harsh or masyado akong madaldal. Hayaan mo, pag tapos nitong season na to maglalaho nako dito. Promise.

hello po…
sa gumawa po ng site… baka meron po nakapagbalita sa inyo ng kalagayan ni dindin santiago ng uste…
i felt my heart was broken when she was in pain and crying in their last game against NU… sigh… naawa ako sa bata… i could almost feel the pain myself… saw her twisting in agony…
she became my next favorite player after jing balse… first saw her at the 2nd conference of vleague’s 6th season… not that good at that time though has caught my attention with just her presence alone…
i’d really appreciate it if you could have some answers to my questions…
it’s been bothering me since that game has ended… wala na balita…
tnx………..

Gilbert: Dindin will play but not against DLSU on February 14. I think Dindin will play in the Final Four pa.
Jovy Joy Jimenez: No idea yet but last week, she said she will finish all her requirements na para makagraduate this October. I’m not sure what that meant but I have a feeling that she won’t na talaga.

According to sources,Morada will come back to play her remaining years. She just needs to finish her studies first. You’d have to know that a student has 5 playing years in the UAAP league. So regardless whether you graduated already or not, you can still play you’re remaining years. RE Dindin Santiago, she played against FEU last Sunday. Second set. Offense-wise she’s back to normal but defense-wise, medyo struggling.

nanuod ako last sunday… hehe… but thanks anyway…
saw dindin again… weeee…
kala ko eh malala injury nya nun…
you where definitely right about her defense (to TheInsider)
both on frontline and backline…
i recall one time after serving… she slowly walks from service area to the court…
that cost them a point when feu made a quick play and sent the ball back court. her pancake dig was a little too late. dalawa o tatlong offensive blocking lang din yata nagawa nya…
pero kahit ano pa man eh masaya ako that she’s able to play again… she’s far more better than the lethargic mance… hehe…. sorry for the term…

i watched last sunday…
saw din din again… weeeee…
but thanks for the info’s anyway…
sana nga di kahit di na sya naglaro against feu para siguradong fully recovered sya…
she’s far more better than the lethargic mance (sorry for the term) but ok lang naman sana di sya pinaglaro coz gonzales was not, for the entire match, put in by coach ness …
agree din ako sayo insider… she was a bit reluctant in blocking… at di na sya nagtatatakbo sa back court….
