After losing to the defending champs De La Salle in 5 sets (25-20, 20-25, 25-22, 22-25, 11-15), the UST Tigresses suffered another heart-breaking loss this time to Ateneo de Manila. They lost the game in 5 sets as well: 32-30, 25-23, 8-25, 19-25, 17-15. The Lady Eagles made a lot of heads turn when they surprised the fans with their funky new one-piece uniform – I guess it paid off finally.
December 19, 2009 (Saturday). Ateneo de Manila University defeated University of Santo Tomas in 5 sets: 32-30, 25-23, 8-25, 19-25, 17-15. Best Scorers were (#6) Angeline Gervacio of ADMU with a total of 26 won points and (#2) Ma. Angeli Tabaquero of UST with 21 points. Game duration: 2hours 6mins.

hi ateneo lady eagles. idol ko talaga kau. lalong lalo na si gervacio (#6) ang galing u talaga sa spike. everytime i watch your game natutuwa talaga ako, kahit matatangakad ang kalaban ei easy lang sa in u. gusto ko ung jump server ni gervacio, bhira lang kasi ang gumagawa nun. idol talaga kita. keep up the good work. hope u can make it on the next season volleyball league. manalo matalo ei idol ko parin kau ateneo team. go go go….
