UAAP 72 Volleyball update #8: UST (Men’s) and DLSU (Women’s) remain on top

It’s been a looong while since that last time I watched UAAP volleyball live at the venue itself. Nothing beats experiencing live volleyball action while taking photos with your entry-level DSLR. Unfortunately, I’m still quite busy with a lot of stuff. So I get hooked to watching selected UAAP games live over Studio23 whenever I get the chance to. And I think ABS-CBN Sports is doing a superb job covering the games with all the instant replays, highlights, court-side reporters, etc. similar to how they do it in basketball.

I also get match results, updates, and statistics (which is usually emailed almost immediately after the matches). I’ll do my best to post these updates as soon as I get them from hereon.

All UAAP 72 Volleyball updates are provided by the folks of TMX Sports. These are the people you see behind those desks and PCs around the court. They track each and every spike, set, serve, and everything else during the games.

UAAP72 Volleyball Team Rankings (update #8)

Huuwhaaat!! So the long-time unbeaten UST Tigers (Men’s) have been defeated finally! And I thought they will most likely remain gods this season since most of their players are still intact. Either it was just a bad day for UST or maybe FEU became stronger this season.

In the Women’s division, the defending champs La Salle remains on top proving that they still have what it takes to be the champs. Last December 8, the Lady Archers have defeated top contender UST in 5 sets (20-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 15-11).

Year of the TIGER or not UST Tigers will still be growling to top of their voices (or grunts?) all year round. They are still the team to beat! I love their team spirit. I envy them for their sturdy hearts. I used to play basketball but that was long long ago.but now I love to watch volleyball. Thanks guys for this wonderful website may we always be watching and peace profound!
