Lyceum wins 9th straight WNCAA volleyball crown
MANILA, Philippines – Lyceum of the Philippines University claimed its ninth straight WNCAA volleyball title after completing a two-game sweep of St. Francis of Assisi College at the St. Scholastica’s College gym over the weekend.
The Lady Pirates took Game 2, 25-20, 25-21, 25-16, to extend their reign in the Senior A division of the WNCAA’s 39th season. They won Game 1 also in straight sets, 25-18, 25-20, 25-16.
Lyceum’s Bernadette Satsatin was chosen as the finals most valuable player while teammates Syvie Gay Artates, Mary Grace Babalo and Joanna Marie dela Peña joined St. Francis’ Sarah Gonzaga, Iceal Cuevas and Acelyn Dublao in the mythical six.
Meanwhile, host College of Saint Benidle Lady Blazers prevented the Lady Pirates’ sweep bid in the Senior A basketball finals and posted a 61-58 win to force a winner-take-all Game 3.

As expected, the Lady Pirates dominated the 39th WNCAA tournament by becoming the champions again. Congratulations to them! What else is new.

sana meron ding leage for volleyball dito sa davao..meron naman kaming shakey’s dito ha! I/m sure maraming gustong sumali hindi lng sa colleges or secondary kundi kahit sa open games..please please shakey’s organize..

magaling ba talaga and Lyceum? para sa akin hindi sila magaling. hindi sila maka compete sa taga ncaa and uaap teams. ang dahilan lang bakit parati sila nananalo sa WNCAA dahil mga talunana ang mga team sa WNCAA. hindi competitive kagaya nang uaap at ncaa teams, wala silang binatbat sa mga teams ng ncaa at uaap.

di nmn sa hndi sila magaling at hndi competitive ang mga players ng lyce PROMISE!! .. ung mga players kasi batak nga sa practice, ang li2it nmn, ang baba ng mga talon? ung iba wlang height, Oh dba ? pano sila mkkpasok sa uaap and ncaa??
pero on the other side, atleast nkkpanalo sila kahit sa wncaa lang, dba ? achievement n rin un .. =)
hndi 2lad ng UST lahat ng players mtatangkad ulitimo ang setter nila matangkad .. knowing si TAN un, na kung tu2usin pede maging isa sa spiker .. dba ?
pra kasi sakin, nasa potential mo yan, dpat mautak ka sa game at malaking tulong ang height .. =)

Hindi talaga sila magaling. mga Over acting sila maglaro. feel nila magagaling sila eh hindi nga sila makapasok kahit sa finals man lang ng shakey’s v-league.

guyz comment lang ah…. naging clasmate ko na yung si artates at satsatin ng lady pirates matangkad naman cla ka height nila si Dahlia cruz lalo na si gulliman kung napapnood nyo sa t.v parang maliit lang pero sa personalang tangkad niya mataas din siya tumalon at member siya ng national team ngayon,, tsaka kung nare-remember nyo pa nag start ang v-league sa lyceum at 3rd place ang lyceum dun behind ust at dlsu…ang ust kaya matatangkad at malakas kasi they are training for the national team at tulad ng mga schools sa uaap may recruitment cla ng players from all over the philippines at mahirap ang try outs nila kaya yung matatangkad at magagaling lang talaga ang nakakapasok sa team. sa lyceum wlang recruitment lahat yun walk in lang try out lang yun tapos kung cnu pwede na maglaro yun ang isasali sa line up ng team. sabout sa kung bakit ndi cla naglalaro sa uaap or ncaa… nasa waiting list po ang lyceum sa ncaa actually isa sila sa mga kino-consider nagyon na ipalit sa pcu… sa uaap naman may certain standards kasi sa sports program na kailangan maabot ng schools para mapasali sa uaap……sa v-league sana magkaroon kayo ng season na all stars yyung maglaaro lit lahat ng magagaling na graduate players ng mga schools para makita ulit yung jga magagaling na payers ng lyceum tulad nila bigkas, garcia, cruz, jarin,boto at yung magaling na libero dati si marga. yun lang. thank you.
