Completing my first 10K run at the Nike Human Race event

And then just when I thought I was ready to make a dramatic exit (with a bit of acting) by collapsing in front of the race marshals, it was there! This race had a finish line after all. It was just there, only a few more meters away. It was such a beautiful sight – the Finish Line.

I made it. Yipee!! I completed my first ever 10-kilometer marathon. I felt very fulfilled. I checked on my Nike+ SportBand. And then realized I forgot to press the record button at the start of the race. I felt so stupid.

According to the final tally, I completed the 10-kilometer distance in 1hour : 17minutes : 01seconds. I was wearing race bib #344 and ended up as No. 202 in the overall ranking out of a total of 300 participants. I was rank No. 147 in the men’s ranking out of 198. It wasn’t a good finish for me but at least I finished the race and never gave up. That’ll do for now.

Nike Finisher's bracelet

The Nike Plus Human Race 10K was a blast. Thanks to Coach Rio dela Cruz and all the organizers for making this event happen. Here are the Nike Plus Human Race results taken from runrio.com site:

Just did it.

Thanks Bong. We all had a great time during the race. I was also lucky enough to get the Nike Finisher bracelet… but what I really wanted was the orange Human Race T-shirt!! Not too sure if you can buy one at the Nike store…

i was just browsing and did not intend to post any comment. but.. but.. you forgot to record your run? that just got me and figured i should go ahead and drop a note :) hehe.
congratulations on your first 10K! was there too and i must say it has been one of the best, and most organized races ever. :)
