We all miss these two teams: the UST and FEU Women’s Volleyball. The last time the Lady Tigers reigned supreme was when they won back to back championship crowns during the Shakey’s V-League Season 4 Second Conference and UAAP Volleyball Season 69. They were unstoppable during those days. As for the Lady Tamaraws, UAAP Season 70 was their time to shine as they defeated Adamson to win during the finals.
After the display of dominance in the local women’s volleyball scene, both these teams seemed to have dwindled down a bit as they start to struggle and give way for other teams to shine. UST missed action during the last V-League Season by opting not to join it. FEU on the other hand, got so depleted after UAAP 69, they placed 7th during the last V-League tournament. The game of volleyball is really full of surprises.
Together with the rest of the teams, there’s no doubt that UST and FEU are intensively training right now as all teams prepare for the upcoming UAAP Volleyball Season 71 this December. (The league embraced by so many, Shakey’s V-League 5 Second Conference will take place first by the way). Currently, Adamson is considered to be at the top of the food chain since they won the last championship crown during V-League 5 First Conference and placed 2nd during the last UAAP 70 season. Meanwhile, the Ateneo Lady Eagles have been displaying consistency throughout the last tournaments. The rest of the schools are getting stronger each time as well.
Can UST and FEU dominate once more and bring back their glory days? Only time will tell.

In my opinion… FEU will still be dominating. I’m sure they will be in the Final 4…
On the other hand I will not expect UST (my favorite team) to be dominating but I’m sure they will still be in the final four…
…The reinforced La Salle team will be strong contender in season 71… And last season 70’s 1st Runner-Up Adamson University will still be a threat… While the Ateneo squad will be full of rookies and not-so-veteran players, so I will not expect anything from them. But ateneo fans say they have promising rookies… Well all we can do is wait and see.
And I hope UP, NU and UE, has something to surprise us!

hi heuer…. although i am very Solid fan of FEU, i also like UE, i like ALanguilan, she works hard in season 69 and works harder in s70.
