you will a lot if you missed this championship round of PVF- which focus on the men’s side of volley games - compared to shakey’s v-league which focus on the women’s side hopeflley someday they will feature the men’s side. It was nostalgia to see old-legend-new face and not so old players of the Volleyball Society in the Philippines- they get fat, obese, mother , father, lola and lolo of the new generation of volleybal . When we recall the days when we were just in college- those were days with WHITE VOLLEYBALL balls, with 15 points set- side -out point system,, without libero, running spike- not so familiar jump serve and back spike- these are some but the new innovations, technicality and skills of the 2000 Volleyball. as FIVB has gather in Dubai, they will create innovations -like the new color of the balls and the less impact- new technical rules and calls, now even 2 liberos in the line up as defense specialist, even foreign players can play like Ms. aguero -the former Cuban player who is now playing in Italian Women’s team.

yeah, sayang. sana magkaroon ng men’s division ang shakey’s v-league. better yet, i hope they come up with a professional league for both men and women.
to the author of this article, joan botor-carpio played for the navy. ^^
i would say the men’s championship match would’ve been a lot different if canlas were there.
taismary agüero has been playing for the italian national for two years now. even so, her case has nothing to do with any fivb rule peculiar to it (fivb). rather she plays because of a change in citizenship.
@jeo sanjose: Yeah a friend-slash-volleyball-addict told me that the 31st World FIVB Congress last June in Dubai has recently approved the following new rules:
1. total number of players in team will now be 14 (instead of 12 before)
2. there will be 2 liberos in a team lineup, but cannot be used at the same time inside the court.
I’m kinda curious as to how the “new” volleyball will look like. Anybody knows where we can get picture?
