I stumbled upon an article / letter on the FIVB website that says something about a world volleyball congress. I wonder if we have representatives on the said even. Here’s the letter from http://www.fivb.org/EN/Congress/2008/.
We are pleased to inform you that the 31st FIVB WORLD CONGRESS will be held in the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai, UAE, from 16 -17 June 2008. Therefore, the arrival in Dubai is foreseen on 15 June and the departure on 18 June 2008.
You are kindly requested to make all the necessary arrangements to personally attend the World Congress as your participation will reinforce the FIVB identity through the sharing of your very best ideas for the benefit of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball development as Top Competitive Sports.
The attached documents contain all the information you need to participate in the Congress.

UPDATE: Rustico Camangian (better known as “otiecspike” who works for PVF I suppose) comments and says,
A pleasant good day! The Philippine Volleyball Federation is pleased to inform (the) Philippine volleyball community that we are sending two(2) delegates for the coming 31st World Congress in Dubai, UAE on June 15017, 2008. The PVF president will be the first delegate and the secretary general will be the second. For your information. Thank you very much.

hmmm…, hey friend, a follow-up article from your debut one uh…? well, the content of the letter is really interesting although, i think it should be addressed to the concerned individuals/organizations who aim to improve the sport (volleyball) in our country…(”,)!

si heidi ilustre at the pascua girl RP Beach Volley pede pa daw humabol sa seed ng Olympics,pero they need to play in plenty of games like Korean open Hongkong…baka makasali nga sila pero haggard na sila,heheh,young tandem pa lang kasi ung dalawa pero pretty like me,ayun eh!!

I think Mr. Camangian is the Secretary General of PVF!!!
i remember something like FIFA sponsoring some training and some donations for our philippine team for us to improve soccer here in our country…. i hope something similar will happen to volleyball…
