V-League Finals: It’s Ateneo versus Adamson!
The semi-finals games between Ateneo-Lyceum and Adamson-San Sebastian took place a while ago at The Arena. The Lady Eagles and Lady Falcons subdued their opponents and will move onto the Finals. Here are the game results:
Eagles conquered the Lady Pirates
- Ateneo de Manila University defeated Lyceum of the Philippines University in 5 sets: 18-25, 20-25, 27-25, 25-20, 15-9. Best Scorers of the game were guest player Em-orn Phanusit of Ateneo with a total of 26 won points and Beverly Boto of Lyceum with 23 points. The game lasted 2hours 17mins.

San Sebastian bowed down to Adamson
- Adamson University defeated San Sebastian College in 4 sets: 25-17, 25-19, 21-25, 25-21. Best Scorers of the game were guest player Neriza Bautista of Adamson with a total of 25 won points and guest player Jaroensi Bualee of San Sebastian with 24 points. The game lasted 1hour 44mins.

pansin ko sobrang ibinagsak ng level of play ni LuAnn Latigay. as in super. for now ang magaling lang sa kanila si Mondejar at Mirasol (na basura last conference, mind you).
Its a no brainer

that Adamson
will finally win
the championships
via a two game straight sets triumph
against the hapless
Ateneo squad.

oo talaga nakita ko na si EM-ORN na masmagaling siya kay BAUTISTA pantay lang kasi ung power ni EM-ORN at BOULEE
As I’ve said talagang Adamson ang mananalo against San Sebastian and that is because of their excellent floor defense and a well-balanced offense.. Talagang basang-basa na nila ang mga kills nina Bualee, Latigay, Devanadera, Mondejar and very unpredictable ang mga sets ni Ancheta. Yan talaga ang kailangan ng Adamson para matalo nila ang kanilang kalaban and that is their specialty, ang floor defense dahil yun na ang kanilang signature move kumbaga.. Kung magagawa lang nila ito against Ateneo sa Finals tiyak na putong-puto nila sina Soriano, Acevedo, and even Em-Orn.. Samahan mo pa ng dump ball ni Serafica, vastly-improved Jill Gustilo, mala-pader na blocks ni Segodine at strong kill ni Benting.. =) yun lang!

Goodluck na lang sa v-league…
It could have been better if it were Ateneo and SSC in the finals.
Paano pupunuin ang arena ng mga fans ni segodine?

I second the motion, GOOD-LUCK na lang sa V-League!!
Adamson beat San Sebastian, eh kahapon lang tinalo ng UST ang Adamson sa Inter-Collegiate. Ergo, UST pa rin mag-chachampion kung kasali sila sa V-League (obvious ba na maka-UST?) As I always say again and again, Shakey’s V-League Season 5 is not as exciting without UST! YUN NA!

sus bitterness…hahaha… yung UST mo, puro excuses… hahaha..
puro injured daw… sauce! makita mo nasa ibang league… ngek! ngek!
adamson have zero advantage over UST. seriously. tough ang defense nila, oo, pero without nene bautista ang laki ng ibinagsak ng blocking. not to mention, puro power hitters ang UST at matatangkad, they could simply spike the ball over the block with a tough angle. gata is a great libero, but she can’t catch all powerful balls all the time.
tingin ko yung current ateneo team mahihirapan UST talunin kasi ganda na ng blocking (sobra) tsaka coverage. Pero DLSU ang bet kong champs sa PVF. Whee.
Congrats to Adamson and Ateneo who will be fighting in the FINALS!
My heart goes out for Baulee, I know she’s been trying so very hard to give San Sebastian a championship. I saw how she felt when they lost to UST last season but that’s part of the game, win some and lose a lot!
Ok lang yon Baulee, you’re still the most-loved Thai Import in the league.

Adamson mananalo, kahit hindi nila ako fan. Kahit saan angulo tingnan mas malakas sila sa ateneo, kahit may Thai import pa sila kasi lahat sila nagtrarabaho.
Sayang talga, it should have been ADU vs Lyceum. Everyone felt that it’s gonna be Lyceum that will win the 1st match. (Kinabahan lahat ng Ateneo fans hahaha! In good form ang Lyceum kanina) Kaso na-injure si Satsatin during the game, who is an element in Lyceum’s floor defense and it was felt by the spectators. It went downhill for Lyceum after that. Hindi kagad nakapag-adjust si Pena sa game. Sana kasi iba na lang pinalit. Hay, anyway, hindi pa tlaga siguro nila time. Next conference na lang ulit and congratulations to ADMU. However, i know it will be Adamson that will dominate.

Grabe talaga ang lakas ng Adamson ngayon yon ay dahil sa guest player nila na si Neriza Bautista pero kung wala siya tingin ko mahihirapan din silang manalo… in fairness binibigay naman nila ang full effort nila to win kahit pa konti lang ang fans nila…kasi parang hindi sila friendly at ma angas yong ibang member …. kaya sana friendly na sila para dumami fans nila… hehe

I know! Pinakafave ko si Satsatin sa kanila lahat. You know why LPU lost?
(!) bagsak kagad ang rotational advantage nila. during crunch time, coach emil replaces babalo in the frontline to transform satsatin into a setter, maximizing the firepower.
(2) si satsatin ang pinakamalaki ang inimprove sa former games nila. siya din ang pinakamadalang mag-error. Hell, si Jarin nagpatalo sa LPU kanina eh.
(3) hindi na sila makapagset-up ng plays. SI Babalo ang nagcocover behind the blocks so pag panget yung receive or si Babalo yung nag-receive, hindi maganda yung pagkakaset kasi hindi na si satsatin yung utility. kaya puto lahat ng palo nila pag panget receive.

Hey i’m from U.P. .. but an Adamson team fan…
If you don’t really know how this game works , lahat ng technical aspects, and titingnan mo lang ang lakas ng spikes ng mga players… for sure fan ka ng USTE(fan din ako neto), Buli(fan din ako), and Em-orn… you’l never realize how smart and great the Adu squad is… Un lang, parang high school ang kalaban nila sa championship… if they win today parang okay lang… mas masarap manalo kung kalaban ay SSC, USTE, FEU, or DLSU.

Napaka-harsh naman ng sinasabi nyong kapag wala si Bautista eh wala ng offense ang Adamson eh bakit sila nakatungtong ng finals ng uaap season 70?
and knowing that meron namang tagasuporta tulad nina Laguilles,Benting,Segodine at Gustilo.. diba?
Tsaka porke’t ba natalo ng ust ang Adamson eh wala nang chance ang Adamson to clinch their “FIRST” vleague title.. nasaan ang tiwala sa sarili, determination and desire to win the title hindi ba nasa Adamson yun and even sa ibang teams kaya wala dapat ganung predictions ok?

No one anticipated that Admu and Adu will meet in the finals of the V-league. SSC-R was the favored team to win the title since the conference started, but they almost made it. This is a perfect example that a powerhouse team could be beaten in any given Sunday. Both Adu and Admu deserve to be in the finals. Adu is the team to beat in the finals. Admu must play with all their hearts to level the series, or else they will be beaten and settle for second place. Good luck to both teams… whoever wins deserves it.

but sure aqng mgiging mgnda ang season 71 ng UAAP khit pa nwala na ung mga mlalakas na players ng lhat ng teams.. kumbaga prng mgiging challenge sa bwat team.knowing na lst con thay were relying pa on their seniors.. ngaun kelangang may magstep up sa knila esp sa UST kz la na ang balse-bernal tandem..kya kelangan tlagang mgpursige c angeli monces tabaquero with lefty torrijos…
i’ll be watching on friday..i’ll be happy to whoever will win this conference because theyre really were the best among the rest,the “hottest team” vs. the “kinarir mashado ang volleyball team”i’ll just give my all in supporting my favorite team Ateneo as i always have done..good luck Ateneo Lady Eagles,Friday will be your last chance,just give it all and if God chose not to give it to you yet,i just hope you win those awards.. di naman sa ayaw ng UST na sumali di ba nga nagkasakit yung coach nila diba kaya nga may fund-raising pa nga sila diba… for coach august sta.maria.. ska kung ayaw man nila sumalki nagpapamiss lang po yun sa atin para abangan cla sa sususnod.. cguradong magpapasiklab yang mga yan sa sususnod na conference.. with angeli monces tabaquero to lead them…
