Mary Jane Pepito of San Sebastian College. Gearhead made a special page in his Multiply account entitled, “Miss Mary Jane “MJ” Pepito”.
Well, I’ve been consistently reading about her in some of the vball forums that I frequent, where fans express their fondness for her. I’ve never really seen her and judging from the few pics I saw lying around online I don’t feel there’s much to get excited about.
That was then… but having seen her in the just opened V-League I’m one new MJ convert as well. She looks like a cross between Heart Evangelista and Mariel Rodriguez, with some Maui Taylor thrown in for good measure. Whew, that face! If you look at the thumbnail pics here… some seems to be one and the same shot of her. But if you look at the face closely, you’ll see each one evokes a different persona… just with a twitch of the lips here, and a smile there. In as much as I admire Lizlee Gata of AdU as the best libero… I’d have to agree with what I’ve been reading and hearing so far… MJ Pepito of SSC-R is, not one of, but the prettiest libero we have around. BAR NONE!!!

I just saw the game on NBN and the opening ceremonies telecast was a disaster - from it’s audio to lighting and the camera angles. Sayang ang video at ang song number ni Bituin dahil walang audio sa tv coverage. It makes me wish sana sa Studio 23 na lang. But let’s see in the succeeding games…
Game 1: Ateneo vs. Lyceum
I would say Ateneo is not stronger this conference. Wala lang kasi si Sherilyn Carillo kaya ADMU finished Lyceum in 3 straight sets. Had Carillo been there, I would have given the game to Lyceum.
Boto was unstoppable and Soriano was as always very very reliable.
In a battle against guest players, Kanchana soared ahead against Cruz. Pu scored good numbers but I still am not in awe at how she plays. I wish the old Dahlia Cruz will get to its old form. Umitim yata sya at naging very fit…looks sexier hehehe.
During halftime pala, Bituin Escalante mentioned she is a big volleyball fan. Nanood siya sa dalawang games and she is rooting for Baste coz of Roces.
Yun lang heheheh.

hi otepus, kamusta na? long time that I haven’t heard from you. I was in the arena to watch the games, but me and my friend were disappointed with the kind game the four teams demonstrated. We are now predicting that it will be baste and adu will be in the finals, since feu will loose a couple players in their first six. I came to watch the game of the Benilde since they had a publicity of a japanese player as their guest player, it turned out to be mabbayad who is their guest player. The japanese player happens to be a student and regular player of Benilde. It was purely gimmick and publicity for people to watch the v-league.
GUYS—hindi ko napanood ang games ng v-league–for a couple of reasons— mahina ang reception ng nbn, laging delayed and broadcasting sa amin(im not sure sa ibang place), not live ang coverage ng games…
ummm,, suggestion ko lang poh, if its a possibility that thru spikeithard.com, we can petition para mapunta ang coverage rights sa studio23 or sa rpn-cs– kung pwede sana—
i believe that volleyball is getting a very nice popularity this times and i think the media has to play a very big role for the sport to be popular not only to teenagers but for all the volleyball fans out there—

I think that would be impossible snitch, although it’s a good idea.
I suggest that the next best thing you can do, is to go up to your bubong and ikot-ikot your antenna until it gets good reception of NBN. Careful lang baka makuryente ka… HIkhik! Seriously, you can try that.

i watched it live and was hoping to enjoy the game but was really disappointed with how Benilde plays so i just kept on whining about how the games in the opening are so shitty and almost forgot that my favorite libero is just in front of me playing but yes,the pepito sisters are really noisy in the court,they kept on pepping up the team shouting name and instructions which is really cute kasi you can really see that they are a team and that theyre helping each other in court.siguru kasi wala pa si Baulee kaya sure silang magkakaintindihan sila kahit magsisigaw sila ng tagalog dun,hehe

thats really a bad news for me hehehe….well maybe semana really wanted to dominate the beach volleyball since she already proved herself in the indoor volleyball… pagbigyan na natin sina Daquis at Semana… i still believe that FEU can stilll make it, we still have morada, gonzaga, abanto and vivas plus jose and taganas,,, see buo parin ang ang first six plus the thai player…hehehe…. GO FEU prove yourselves that even without your two strong players you still can make it big in the v-league… hhhmmm i wonder who might be FEU next team captain…hehehe bago na lahat ng players…galing…

oops, not the body po but more on the face. i mean sa bawat pics meron mariel ang dating, yung iba parang si heart naman, then meron din si maui hawig niya. kapag titigan mo siya parang composite nung mga yun ang ganda niya. baka maniwala yun na seksi na siya di na mag-reduce. hehe. di naman sa mataba siya ngayon, pero shed some baby fats lang siguro.

i had the chance to watch the opening ceremony and the first game of the league, and i was really disappointed due to some problems and flaws of the coverage! with regards the match between Ateneo and Lyceum, i must say that ateneo is not really a strong team to watch out as compared to what they showed during the last conference of the league, probably because there’s a big difference on how kesinee played defensively and offensively, as how kanchana played yesterday. nevertheless, kanchana contributed a lot that’s why ateneo defeated lyceum in a straight-sets period! i also noticed the big improvement of jarin and the awesome attacks coming from boto. surely, if ever carillo played yesterday with lyceum, there’s a big possibility that ateneo would have a difficulty in defeating lyceum…(”,)!

i must say that the lady stags really came prepared for this conference of the league, although they haven’t really showed their real capacities, but the way each players performed during their game to st benilde, they really improved a lot especially devanadera, latigay and ancheta. another revelation was the proper blending of suzanne roces to the lady stags, just like what she did when she played as UST’s guest player. this might be the much awaited season of SSC-R in bagging the championship title…(”,)!
