1. Why #9?
Ah my 2nd playing year in the UAAP. My number before in high school is actually 3 but when I began playing for FEU, I started as #14 because that’s the only number available. But when the player wearing #9 already graduated, I began to use that instead of #3 and #14.
2. How did you first get into volleyball? How long have you been playing?
I’ve been playing since I was grade 5 or 10 years to be exact. I started when I was 9 years, when my brother let me join him in his team. Hindi pa ako marunong talaga that time, nasa bench lang ako, kahit serve or dig hindi ako marunong. One day, the owner of a free lot decided to make a volleyball court. Tamang tama, when the court was finished, I had a ball and I played solo at first, and then after some time, some of my neighbors and friends joined. That’s where I learned how to dig, serve, set and spike.
3. What are your greatest achievements/awards as a volleyball player?
Uhm. There are a lot but the greatest would be being invited to play for the National Team.
4. What makes a good volleyball player? Does height really matter?
Height is might right? But for me it doesn’t matter as long as you love your game and you have a dream to go father to that field of sport.
5. You are an RP Team player right? So how does it feel representing Philippines in the tournament/s you’ve played?
Pressure. Cause every time there’s an international tournament, I always wonder when will be the time where we can make it to the championship. But it’s fun representing the country.
6. You’re the team’s setter, right?, what are the advantages and disadvantages of being a setter in your opinion?
I learned being a setter from my high school coach. Before I was a spiker, utility spiker. Kasi ang utility spiker dapat he knows how to set kasi kapag setter ang nakakuha ng first ball, utility ang magseset. Advantage of being setter? You can not only set plays but you can attack as well.
7. If you’re not playing for FEU, UAAP school or just a regular school do you want to play for? Why?
Nah. Since high school, I want to play fo for FEU. I don’t want to play for any team at all.
8. Likewise, how does it feel to play for a school which has a great volleyball program like FEU?
Because we all know that when it comes to volleyball history, FEU has a big contribution right? So I was just happy cause I fulfilled my dream to play for FEU.
9. During the last UAAP, aside from your team, which team was the toughest to go against with? Who’s the toughest player?
UST. All of them.

i believe kelangan magclick muna ang isang sport sa mga men bago ito iaccept ng mga ladies,kasi hindi naman mahilig mag-laro ang mga babae,eh kung nagvovolleyball na ang mga bf nila,edi mapipilitan narin silang makilaro, saka men have more fanbase including ladies and gayz?heheh,women’s volleyball is only supported b fellow schoolmates and afficionadoes and guyz while men’s volleyball doesnt choose audience,for as long as the player is cute,people will get hooked to them like me to Ucang!!!ahahhaha

your pertaining to international players who are really good. but are players today cant match yet those calibers,kahit nga UST na always finalist ahy nangungulelat,so nababaling muna ang attention ng viewers sa mga boys koz they play better as usual,kahit sa youtube account ko,mas viewed ang men’s game kasi many look up to sa mga plays na pinakita ng FEU UST UP men’s game kesa sa mga babae,except for the final games of FEU vs ADAMSON gurlz..at mas maraming nabighani sa kgwapuhan ni JEssie Edjet at MAgnaye daw..

True enough that women’s volleyball popularity had become overwhelming. It is time for the men’s volleyball to be exposed since men play better than the women. It’s just my opinion. PEACE!!!!

so sad lang na last year na ni jessie ngayon, we will never see him play for feu next uaap season. swertr yung mga kagaya ko who saw him play since last year, at least nakita natin sya for two years… sana sa 2009 sea games, we can send a team for men and women’s volleyball, at sana by then, we are all set na to have a showdown with thailand for the gold medal… sa tinatakbo ng volleyball dito sa pinas ngayon, hindi naman sigurong malabong mangyari yun, it keeps getting better and better…

Thailand was never a powerhouse in Men’s Volleyball. It was always Indonesia. Haha. I don’t know who won the SEAGAMES 2007 Men’s Volleyball but I heard Thailand settled for Third.

hahaha… speaking of pcu, natuwa talaga ako nung sya ang geepee ng pcu during their fight with ssc.. sobrang intense nung laban na napaiyak ang pcu ladies nung nanalo sila, ako din napaiyak nun… hahaha
As to date, no match can ever beat the PCU vs San Sebastian match in Season 3. Haha. The 5th set went until 21-19 in favor of PCU.
It was revenge for PCU since San Sebastian ended PCU’s hopes of getting a 3-Peat Championship.
Likewise, it’s a very relishing moment since Jaroensri Bualee was playing for San Sebastian already that time while they were missing team captain Romalyn Manzano.
uaap men’s volleyball gained popularity mainly because of edjet, jessie and jeremy pedregosa of feu and jerome and hans of up from last year’s season… agree?
