WOMEN’S JUNIORS (as of August 27, 2007)
The Philippines belongs to the group who garnered ZERO points in the women’s junior division at rank 85, along with India and Ecuador. China topped the list this time with a whopping 242 points, but still unstable due to Brazil’s 220 points which stands on the second position. The rank of our neighbors are as follows:
- Rank 1 China 242 points
- Rank 3 Japan 170 points
- Rank 16 Thailand 62 points
- Rank 34 Indonesia 13 points
- Rank 36 Vietnam 10 points
European countries got 4 countries on the Top 10, Asia has very promising 3 countries, South America has 2 and North America got 1. I think that this is important because these young women is going to be the future of volleyball of each countries. If we don’t act now with our young ladies, we will be left very far behind, especially that 3 Southeast Asian countries are included in the top 40.
MEN’S JUNIORS (as of August 27, 2007)
The Philippines is NOWHERE in the list.
- Rank 1 Iran 240 points
- Rank 6 China 126 points
- Rank 12 India 78 points
- Rank 16 Japan 55 points
- Rank 26 Korea 28 points
- Rank 39 Thailand 6 points
- Rank 40 Malaysia 5 points
Surprisingly, a Middle East Asian country topped the list, Iran. The most consistent Southeast Asian country on the list is Thailand, it was never out of the top 40. As well as China, Japan and Korea. Four European nations entered the Top 10, South America has 3, Asia got 2, and North America has 1.
It can be summarized as:
Europe is the most consistent continent; Brazil, Russia and Cuba is the most consistent countries; China, Japan, and Korea are the most consistent Asian countries; Thailand is the most consistent South East Asian country; and the Philippines was left behind most of our neighbors.
There’s a lot to be done. There’s so many rooms for improvement. The important thing is that there are people who are concerned for the sport, who has genuine concern for the people who play volleyball. The work is slowly being done. And I hope that we can all see the glory of the Philippine volleyball be back. May God bless us all!!!
Special thanks are for Spikeithard.com, Vleague.tk, Rpspikers.tk, Shakey’s V-League, UAAP Volleyball, PVF, and to all the fans like us who never fails believe and love the sport of volleyball.

“Rank 16 Thailand 62 points”
So that’s why we should be open to allowing foreign guest players to play with our local players in tournaments such as the V-League!!! We can learn a lot from them and at the same time develop our local players. I think there’s really more to gain than to lose in this. Agree?

Kasama cguro sa training nla un pagiging humble. D 2lad ng ibang team.. Kaya nga sna bumalik ng cla para marami pa clang ma inspire na team. Go uste. Kung ang PBA ay may GINEBRA. ang VLEAGUE naman ay may UST.
