The Volleyball Rebirth

In the recent years, we have seen the most relevant change that happened on the Philippine volleyball scene. Games are now seen on television. We can say that there is a rebirth of volleyball here in our country.

Thanks to the Shakey’s V-League who was spearheaded the current volleyball progress that we have now. We won the gold medal in the 1993 SEA Games but now we are just settling for the bronze medal for the women’s division while the men must show more.

i hope this will be the new beginning for voleyball here in the philippines…if only the government will give enough attention in the sports that we have the potentials to win, maybe we are far ahead than what we are right now, i mean we have what it takes to be a powerhouse team… we have alot of young talented players… we once dominated alot of the games in the SEA Games but now were at the bottom…

i hope, the volleyball games that we are enjoying to watch right now will serve as an eye opener for the people who are really responsible for the improvement of each and every sport that we are competing with.

Kung ang attention na ibinibigay sa basketball ay ganun din sa volleyball, naniniwala akong mas may chance pa ngang makapasok sa olympics ang volleyball kesa basketball. Wala nga akong nakikitang summer volleyball clinic, puro basketball. If only big companies like San Miguel or Pldt, even Jollibee, will take interest in the world of volleyball, we can win the gold in the seagames again.
