The upcoming Shakey’s V-League 1st conference of Season 5 is probably one of the most talked about conferences ever be it a good thing or negatively. There were some talks on why certain teams like defending champion University of Santo Tomas and former 3-peat champion De La Salle University did not join but despite these issues, the organizers thought of a way to attract the spectators without these two hotshots. After all, they are for promoting the sport itself and not just keen on getting revenues via sponsors or tickets sales.
There will be a total of eight teams joining this coming conference. Take note that these are not just so-so teams, but they are the country’s supreme teams when it comes to volleyball. For Manila, we have NCAA 3-Peat Champion and last conference’s 1st Runner-Up San Sebastian College - Recoletos, UAAP Season 70 Champion Far Eastern University, UAAP Season 70 1st Runner-Up and UNIGAMES Champion Adamson University, UAAP Season 70 Semifinalist and last conference’s 2nd Runner-Up Ateneo de Manila University, NCAA Season 83 1st Runner-Up College of Saint Benilde and 7-Time WNCAA Champion Lyceum of the Philippines University. Joining the Manila teams are teams from Visayas namely CESAFI Champion University of San Jose - Recoletos and UNIGAMES 1st Runner-Up University of Saint La Salle.
The tournament will be exciting itself because of the many changes the board will implement for this league. First, the board reinstated the double round robin preliminaries. In here, the Manila teams will face off each other twice in the double round robin preliminaries. This was done so as to let the other teams win more just in case they were adjusting at the early part of the tournament. Whoever will rank first and second after the preliminaries, will automatically get the first two semifinals berth. If two teams are tied for the second spot, there will be a playoff match to determine who will get the second final four berth. The eliminations will run from March 30 to May 4. By the way, no team will be eliminated in the preliminaries.
The third, fourth, fifth and sixth seeded team will now be joined by the Visayan teams in the quarterfinals. In here, they will face in a single round robin format wherein whoever will be the top two teams after the quarterfinals, will emerge as the last two semifinalists. If in case a team is ranked lower than the two teams but they won three out of five games, they will have the opportunity to force a playoff match against the second best team after the quarterfinals for the right to be in the final four. A total of four teams will be eliminated after the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals will run from May 6 to May 23.
In the semifinals, the two best teams after the preliminaries and the two best teams after the quarterfinals will face off in a single round robin format. The two best squads after the semifinals will obviously move to the next stage which is of course, the best of three Championship series. However, if two teams are tied for the second seed after the semifinals, they will have a playoff match to determine who will move on to the Finals. The semifinals will run from May 25 to June 1.
The Finals and Battle for Bronze will be a best of three series. The Finals will run from June 3 to June 8.
Take note that the tournament format will no longer follow the carry-over system but will follow the back-to-zero rule in which, your win-loss record will not be carried over to the next stages off the tournament.
There will be a major change with regards to roster management. Instead of the usual, the V-League Board has implemented a new rule. It states that the only players allowed to play for the upcoming V-League will be the ones who were officially included in the varsity line-up. This was implemented to avoid the speculations and issues in terms of cheating with regards to the line-ups and rosters of each team. This was done also, so as to maintain the competitiveness and to keep the collegiate environment of the league. The league has only allowed 12 collegiate players from each team and 1 guest player be it local or foreign. The board changed the rules also about guest players. The league agreed that teams can change guest players anytime and as many times, only during the preliminaries or before the quarterfinals. During the quarterfinals and semifinals, whoever their guest player is, will be their guest player wherever the tournament leads them.
There are a lot of rumors going on about guest players and the opening games this coming V-League but the final list of guest players and the complete schedule will be released on Easter Sunday or the day after that. Come back soon!

I’m very, very excited too. Can’t wait for the v-league to start. The visayan teams will definitely add spice to this game. Oh how I want to see them play already! Sana magagaling sa receive at masisipag maghabol ng bola.
[Reply]
yeah, i hope kahit isa sa kanila makapasok sa final 4
sana meron ding from mindanao…para kumpleto..im from mindanao anyway..
I hope USJR will win from VIsayas because im from VISAYAS also!!!hehehe

FEU + Guest player = Championship Trophy
ADMU + Guest player’s 110% + Soriano “pumped up” + Team mates playing and wanting to win = Ateneo winning this against FEU
ateneo
ADMU.. go go go Soriano!!
hhmmm…. my final four will be…
SSC, ADMU (if kesinee yung guest player nila), FEU and USJ-R… i’ve seen how the ladies from usj-r play… i should know… i’ve watched them… cebu kasi ako nag-aaral eh…

yehey, mukhang magnda magiging mga laban,i’ll record it so everyone will have memories of this much awaited season of great volleyball..
even without lasalle, benilde is still there to add spice coz am sure the players of DLSU will surely transfer or join the benilde team as guest players. i really hope des and che will play for benilde.
[Reply]
I think your’re not that right…kaya nga di sumali ust and lasalle coz only the roster who participated in the most recent uaap/ncaa or any collegiate league season can participate…since maizo, mabayyad, santos, saet - are not elligible to play for thier respective team and even including Alarca - if i’m not mistaken. So how come some lady archers will join the Benilde team - maybe one but not some…and i thin’k much better if they’ll get foreign player rather than settling for good if they can get Better.
i think it’s baste’s time to shine…(”,)!

If kesinee will play for Ateneo, then it will be Baste and Ateneo rivalry in the finals…masaya yun, however we have to see also those from the Visayas… USJR and ALSALLE, i mean La Salle Bacolod (better if they’ll get foreign reinforcements).
I’ll support any of these teams.
i come from cebu and i must say usjr is really doing well in v-ball,. i hope to see both recolect schools in the championship game… usjr vs. baste! usjr doesnt have the height advantage though usjr players are known to be offensive minded. creative kasi mga attacks nila. coach grace, the usjr coach should also work on the mindset of the cebuano players since they’re playing for national league… kase sayang naman ang skills nila pag naunahan sila ng takot at intimidation ng mga thai players.
[Reply]
it’s a major also for FEU who their guest player is. I hope they can get a thai player so that come season 71 of uaap, lalong gaganda ang skills nila. like what happened to charo soriano, patti taganas and bea pascual… i think tinuru-an sila ng thai player na si kesinee at yung assistant coach nila na thai rin.

It’s good to hear that the V-league will make this season more exciting even without UST and DLSU. Volleyball is becoming popular and a lot of people appreciating the game itself. The V-league is showing their optimism in the success of this conference. Remember, UST & DLSU are not only the best teams in the land. There are a lot of teams who plays the game well. This will also show the craft of game of the Visayan teams can offer. I wish they could also get some teams from Mindanao, so that we could see how they play also. Maybe on the next season, they could push through it. The guest players will give us more thrilling games since they love to play here.
Good luck and God Speed to the V-league season 5..
PEACE!!!!!!

I believe getting Ateneo de Davao and University of Mindanao as next conference’s teams are in the works. I think the 2nd conference of this Season will be commercial. And then next summer, the 1st conference of season 6 will be again collegiate. This is the time when Ateneo de Davao and University of Mindanao will come into picture along with University of San Jose - Recoletos and University of Saint La Salle.
haaay!! pero sana naman if ever there wud be a contender from the mindanao ung coverage is mapunta sa studio 23.. di kc kmi nkakapanood ng v-league eh..tsk!tsk!
miss miles, i dont think ateneo de davao can compete toe to toe with the metro manila schools. ive seen them play, i think NU is even a better team. University of Mindanao and Holy Cross of Davao College are the 2 top teams here in Mindanao.
[Reply]
Ateneo has “money” to afford some good thai players for guest players and expenses to get to Manila, mangagaling pa silang Mindanao, tapos magrerent pa silang house,bigating/rich school lang makakaafford nung expenses, heheh
Yeah. They are also looking for schools who can afford to go via airplane and stay here in Manila for the whole month of May. Plus the fact that schools really have to get guest players. In Ateneo de Davao’s case, since sister school is known for getting Thai imports, I’m assuming the team manager of their Manila sister school will shell out some money in their airfare, lodging and guest player
i think admu will be the only team to stick with a thai player… ssc-r will get suzanne roces, adu will still have nerizza bautista, maureen penetrante will play for usj-r, feu will have michelle carolino…yun palang alam ko
[Reply]
yeah, the closer we get to the 1st day of the league, the more exciting and thrilling it is for us who love the game… hehehe…am really excited now and i cant hardly wait to watch the first game… i hope the lady tams will do good this time…GO FEU… Go CAROLINO Go… The lady tams now have not only the crown but the heart of a champion(they truly do)…hehehe…
[Reply]
good for ADMU because they can really afford to have one or more thai players, they can actually acquire thai players as much as they want to but can only allow one to play one at a time… yeah i also heard that from a friend, the university of mindanao and holy cross of davao college are the top 2 teams in mindanao and that ateneo isnt that strong but can afford to acquire the service of an imported player just like the sister school ADMU to make the team competitive…hehehe
[Reply]
am truly happy that michelle will, atlast, play for FEU… i hope feu will once again dominate, they made in the recently concluded uaap, time for them to shine in the shakeys v league…hehehe

fearless forecast, top 4 teams, FEU SSC-R ADU and LYCEUM…hehehe

naku walang Lyceum dyan ska ADU,mali to!mali yan mali!!hehehe, ATeneo at San Jose papasok.nyahahahhahaha!!
hay basta, i hope its FEU again in the finals, bahala na kung ADU o SSC-r ang makaklaban hahaha…libre ang mangarap hahaha…

ssc-r for my pepito!!!
feu for my abanto!!!ahahaha

My fearless forecast (top 4):
San Sebastian College - Recoletos
Ateneo de Manila University
Adamson University
One team from the Visayas(most likely - USJR)
Those Upper three elevated their standings since UST is out for this conference basing on the results last conference.
[Reply]
FEU kaya Champion ng UAAP,hehhehe
I’m refering to the recent Vleague conference…Kahit champion ka sa UAAP/NCAA…doesn’t mean you’ll be on the top in Vleague since Vleague is a little higher in caliber…What FEU lacks are blockers…yes they can dig up balls however if the ball is hit by the opponent in a suave manner…it’s really hard to chase it…
During La salle supremacy in Vleague and UAAP…they had both blockers as well as hitters…Michelle Carolino(in Vleague only) had her best plays since there were no good blockers at then from their opponents(,and of course because of Chi Saet’s sets)…(opinion ko lang po)
I’ll stick to my forecast…if FEU will be on the final four then… good for them but for sure… they won’t be on the top among all the others.
if ADMU will get Kesinee…then Ateneo and SSC-R in the finals.
Look out what happened last Sea games 2005 wherein Carolino(Michelle) played for the National team but she was not that effective since Thai’s blocks were superb…
[Reply]
am really hoping that FEU will really do good this time…sana man lang they will grab atleast one championship sa shakeys…ginagawa na lang kasi nilang training grounds ang league in which ok din para prepared sila sa uaap. nakakatawa kasi sa shakeys super kulelat ang FEU pero sa uaap super galing…
[Reply]
Go gO Go FEU!!!
you’re right slytherinz, they had developed their 6-2 formation well… but they need superb blocking…kasi pag matatangkad ang spikers baka sa gitna ng court babagsak ang bola…
Based on my opinion bakit kulelat sila sa Vleague, dahil this is a different league…kelangan talaga ng reinforcement(s). Magaling sila sa UAAP ‘coz ala silang kalaban na pantapat sa weakness nila…only few teams had blocked them. At pag matatangkad na kalaban nila na magaling talaga both blocking and hitting…it would be really hard for them.
you mean to say bbol hindi magaling na kalaban ang ust and adu??? las salle’s blocking abiity is superb, si kesinne lang ang nawala sa ateneo, same set of player lang naman, ang wala lang ay ang ssc-r. siguro FEU di lang binibigay ng FEU ang lahat sa v league, coach familar once said this, mas pinagtrabuhuan nila ng maayos ang uaap and one way to get prepared for such league is through joining different competition kahit di sila manalo ok lang….
but of course i will respect your decision, kung yan ang napansin mo,good atleast may napapansin ka hehehe,,,,peace y’all…
hahaha nice of you…it’s not decision…it’s observation…hahaha
Aminado naman tayo that they had improved…try to observe…nung kalaban nila lasalle last uaap, it took them 5 sets - because of blocking… nagkataon kasi na di masyado impressive ang offensive weapon ng lasalle as well as their setter…kaya dehado lasalle when it comes to offense compared to feu.
pagdating sa ust - during their uaap fights…alam naman natin na pag si balse ang nasa likod…pasok na pasok ang mga palo ng feu…mance is no great wall…as well as Bernal, Torrijos, Tan and Tabaquero…
I think your not that right kung sasabihin mo di nila binigay ang lahat sa vleague-be fair naman for their efforts…kala ko ba ayaw din nila na ipapahiya ang school nila hehehe….
sorry observation yun hahahaha…kakahiya hahaha…
ayaw nilang ipahiya ang school nila in the uaap kaya ganun, pansinin mo pag uaap lumalabas ang klase ng laro ng feu… i will not agree na its all height sa blocking kasi FEU, though small, can still block, UST ang tatangkad pero mintis sa blockings… i think nasa diskarte ng paglaro yan, malilit ang FEU but they play well… bakit kaya sila ang nasa line up at ang liit ng members ng feu kasi naniniwala si coach familar na kahit malilit ang players niya pero they can play big sa laro, one good example is semana…
ano ba sabi ko?…good in blocking…not just tall players…yun ang pantapat sa skills nila…tall players with good blocking ability…
If you’ll be the coach and somebody who’s tall with the same skills with not so tall players, will you prioritize that not so tall players?…si Daquis ba maliit? O come on when it comes to High Caliber Volleyball, Height does matter!!! unless you’re the libero…
Mali tuloy…hehehehe
ano ba sabi ko?…good in blocking…not just tall players…yun ang pantapat sa skills nila…tall players with good blocking ability…
If you’ll be the coach and somebody, who’s tall with the same skills with not-so-tall players, will try out, will you prioritize that not so tall players?…si Daquis ba maliit? O come on when it comes to High Caliber Volleyball, Height does matter!!! unless you’re the libero…
kuha ko point mo pero sa ngayon kasi yun yung magaling, the not so tall players, di naman ganun katangkad si daquis at nagiisa lang siya….
dont worry ok lang magkamali minsan hehehe…. o sige na nga height does matter problem is maliliit talaga mga players namin,,hehehe
yun na nga kaya di sila umobra sa vleague kasi may mga import who can block superbly…
sige ganito, kasi not at all times na may import, papano kung alang import, gaya nangyari sa ateneo, ang lakas nila sa vleague pero nung sa uaap at ala ng import napilay kagad sila, ang feu nung ala si daquis maganda parin ang performance…
It’s their problem…gaya ng ust…they had no mabayyad as well as maizo…nagkaproblema nga sila…
Let’s face it…players go and players come…
Daquis was out for the the entire 1st round but her team mates still did well, they adjusted immediately, unlike the other team pag may kulang at natalo sabihin kagad kasi wala si ganito, kasi ganito, dapat kasi if youre really good. i dont think those are valid reasons… sabi mo nga players go and players come tapos bakit sabi mo na kung nandun si maizo at kung kasali lang si mabbayad??? dapat kasi mag adjust kagad kung wala na yung player na yun…. bakit naging kulelat ba ang ust na walang import player??? nanalo ba ang ateneo o ang ssc-r na may mga imported players???
Daquis was out for the the entire 1st round but her team mates still did well, they adjusted immediately, unlike the other team pag may kulang at natalo sabihin kagad kasi wala si ganito, kasi ganito, dapat kasi if youre really good you should perform well even if some of your players cant play, yan ang magaling. sabi mo nga players go and players come tapos bakit sabi mo na kung nandun si maizo at kung kasali lang si mabbayad??? dapat kasi mag adjust kagad kung wala na yung player na yun…. bakit naging kulelat ba ang ust na walang import player??? nanalo ba ang ateneo o ang ssc-r na may mga imported players???
Sorry to say again…you’re not that right…I found some tall players who fill my wants like Balse, Bernal, Roces, Alarca, Soriano, Bautista - who have both talents and right attitude…
Ako,,, naghahanap sa mga maling tao??? alam ko nga na maliliit sila…sa kanila ba ako naghahanap…O come on…ala ata logic mo…
There are not-so-tall players that I like too like Gata, Pepito, Latigay…mahirap ba unawain na ayaw ko sa feu ‘coz I have valid reasons…
Sabi ko nga…support and promote your team!!!
Bakit mo ba pinagpipilitan na gugustuhin ko sila??? na I have to give them credits???
Sports promotes sportsmanship…not yabang…
I’ve laid what I think were the reasons why feu didn’t do well in the Vleague…so much argument…
Continue patronizing the sports rather than just promoting your team…though you can support and promote them(you have the right to…)
Pangit kasi pag ikaw na mismo pumupuri sa sarili mo at nakakalimutan mo na may iba pa palang magaling…pangit din to conclude without bases at all
I owe you respect!
Have a good day!
i know they will do good this lalo pat nasa kanila na ang uaap… hehehe… i know ayaw din nila na iapahiya ang school nila hehehe….
Go FEU!!!
[Reply]
yep, semana will still play in the v league.
adu pa din…. go falcons!!!
[Reply]
i think adamson is going to be the team to beat this coming season… konting polish pa kay segodine and she can be as consistent as benting, gustillo ad laguilles (i really hope that she will play) with the help of gata… which brings me to the question… sino ngapala ang papalit kay cerafica???
[Reply]
OO NGA E, SABI NG NI MOZZY, IT’S EITHER YOU LOVE HER OR HATE HER… bsta like ko sya… kakulay eh… hehe
This Vleague-i think Cerafica will still play pero sa UAAP…yun ang tanong.
Yes, adamson will be on the final four this V-league.
u-huh… for me, it’s adu, sscr, lyceum and a visayan team…
[Reply]
magaling si devanadera! wuhoo.. kababayan! niyahahaha:))
sakin naman FEU ssc-r ADU and ADMU or LYCEUM, i dont think na may makakapasok from the visayas kasi 1 round lang ang laro nila, no chance to make bawi…hehehe… complete parin yung line up ng FEU and ADU… i hope sila parin sa finals pero ang galing ng ssc-r, alam kung babawi sila…
[Reply]
pero quarterfinals na naman sila papasok atsaka back to zero na yung mga makakalusot sa elims kaya magsisilula silawith clean slate… tingin ko malalakas ang din yung visayan team kasi ok yung credentials nila, that’s my opinion when i read some articles on rpspikers.tk
You have a point, Visayan Teams will find it hard coz they’ll adjust first and they will be given only 5 games to make it to the semis…and their metro manila opponents had already adjusted…during that times.
I just don’t agree with the top 2 teams advancing the semis after the two round preliminary games since BAKA matulad sa UE Red warriors…mangangapa pag balik nila…that will be a long break…
NGAPALA… SURE NA BA YUNG PAGKUHA NG JAPANESE IMPORT NG BENILDE?
[Reply]
PARANG ANG ATENEO LANG ATA ANG MAY IMPORTED PLAYER….
[Reply]
If Ateneo won’t get a good blocker, wise hitter in one person like Kesinee…tag hirap sila.
OO NGA… THEY HAVE TO BE MORE WARY..
pero sana makahanap na ng good players ang ateneo, sana more trainings sa mga players, yung mga players na lang kasi nila ang palaruin to have more experience and to gain enough knowledge to play well para di sila umaasa parati sa mga imported players…. hehehe
[Reply]
that should be true to all the teams… pero i think na kailangan pa natin for the meantime ang imports kasi ngayon pa lang ulit nagiging popular ang volleyball… we still have to gain different perspective on playing, in this case, from from thai and maybe a japanese import……
i think the best solution to this is to train the players with the help of a thai player/s and not to substitute its players with an imported player on the game proper. kasi how will you be able to apply the techniques you learned and observed if youre not going to play, and how will you be able to experience hard games if youre not playing at all… mas maganda parin kung makikita natin na same set of players para makita din natin on how much they improved…diba???hehehe
[Reply]
i hope feu will win this time…
[Reply]
kasi if feu will win, it will explain alot of things… basta magiging sagot sa lahat ng tanong natin ang panalo ng feu sana..hehhee
[Reply]
that is if they will win
haha i know bbol you dont like feu…pero sana you will also see and appreciate how good they are now…you praised many teams pero hindi ang feu…wawa ng team ko hahaha…
Let’s say i have valid reasons why i don’t like them that much…sorry to say…pero i’m still objective…i admit it they’re good because of their swiftness, but i want to see some hard core actions - Bualee’s spike, as well as Bernal’s, Balse’s, Latigay’s…with much power…i know volleyball is not only powers…but can’t help it…that’s why i like watching mens volleyball. Di ba mas exciting kung ang nakikita mo ay baon na baon yung palo, at pag block, patay agad ang bola(i admire Kesinee that much, iba kalibre ng blocking nya).
Basta I want to see more like how pleumjit spikes! I like pleumjit that much!!!
I’m not mentioning here pa ang UGALI!!!
support and promote your team…alang masama dun…ako, i’m rooting for the team who can fill what I’m looking for - powerhits, blocks na pamatay, digs and supersets…hahaha
ah ok, i respect that, but for me FEU has what it takes to be a champion. they played their best, they played with heart, they played against some of the powerhouse team we have right now, they played as a team, everyone contributed points, they maybe small but they succeeded in the past uaap… those are enough for me,,, i am also objective which is why i appreciate all of them. I think FEU is the team to beat this coming v league…
am not only supporting and promoting my team but the entire league as well…. i love volleyball…
Baon din naman ang mga palo nina Morada, Daquis, Gonzales at Semana, powerful din ang hits nila,,, aminin mo nalang kasi na you dont like FEU for one obvious reason, FEU defeated UST, at di lingid sa akin na parati mong pinagtatanggol ang UST… UST never defeated FEU in season 70, in season 69 UST defeated FEU twice and FEU defeated UST thrice… yun eh opinion ko lang din… yun kasi ang nakikita ko…
Guy,,,i supposed you know what you’re talking about…i considerebly starting to admire you but you came into a foul, lousy, poor judgement…POOR you!
I am no bitter to any team…because of that super shallow HAKA HAKA…ang babaw ko naman ata nun…wawa naman ako pag ganun! Hehehe…
One thing and maybe the foremost thing which I don’t like feu is YABANG!!! This is a sports - you have to showcase your sportsmanship… Kita naman sa posts ko…I even said that Tabaquero has that angas din which I don’t commend…kahit sinong players basta ganun…I absolutely oppose those things…like Segodine, Roque, Mabutol…isa isahin ko pa ba? I hate it most when everybody in the team is doing it…Si Shaira na lang ata ang di mayabang sa feu eh…
I don’t care about your stats…what is more important is your Inner self…i will reiterate and gave an example…Bernal and Balse(kung sa feu man sila…i’ll still support them) because of their traits on/off court inspite of their big names in the sports…
Let’s see your baon thing this Vleague…
I’m really sorry if I don’t like your team…
So sorry…POOR judge!!!
Opps…I didn’t mean a thing…Peace!
-So sorry…POOR judge!!!- pinakita mo kasi…
Isa pa…there were no powerhouse teams in the most recent UAAP womens volleyball except for your own favorite…Only Balse and Bernal were strong in UST squad(Tabaquero injured), Benting and Laguilles for Adamson(Maybe Segodine)…Soriano for Ateneo…Alarca, Llaguno for La salle…kaya your not that right for saying feu ha’d beaten some powerhouse team…
Mas nakakahiya kung natalo kayo ng team na kunti lang ang key spikers…am I right?
^hhhmmmm… Go FEU pa rin!!!
oh talaga? no powerhouse team, taas naman ng standard mo, eh kung ikaw nalang kaya ang magbuo ng isang powerhouse team???you cant blame the players kung bakit sila ganun pag naglalaro, you dont know what they feel inside the court but you did judged them right away, nasabi pa nga na its a technique, a tactic to intimidate your oponent, parang ikaw ata ang may POOR JUDGEMENT… hey we are talking here of the game and how the players perform and not their attitude, may ganyan talaga sa volleyball… Dont worry ok lang sakin ang mga sinabi mo kasi opinion mo din yun eh….hehehe, and one thing more mas nakakahiya naman diba kung natalo kayo ngmga malilit na kalaban diba??? kasi nga dapat kung matatangkad on the frontline palang dapat patay na ang bola but it didnt happened… tapos kung 3 of your first six are still neophytes diba mahirap yun??? at kung sa ugali naman i dont think na mayabang talaga ang ust, why kilala mo sila, ako personally knew some of them pero they are not like that outside the court, they are friendly just like segodine and some other players whom you called mayayabang…kaw ata ang my poor judgement….hehehe
Peace…

Observe first before you jump into conclusion…did I say off court…they are mayabang? Did I say mayabang ang UST? I only mentioned Tabaquero…however tolerable like Semana…I just don’t like it when almost all of the team members are doing that yabang on the court…please naman…let your hits, digs, serves, sets speak who you are as a volleyball player…hwag itaas ang bangko…
Sorry guys I just don’t like their attitude on the court…SIMPLE…It’s my reason…No way, di ko sila sinisiraan…It’s my reason…as simple as that…
I admire their swiftness, yes…pero di yun dahilan para i’ll admire them that much…it’s a turn off kasi…
I’m referring your being a poor judge for jumping into conclusion that I hate feu because they had beaten UST - ang babaw…
pinapatulan lang naman ng FEU ADamson kasi nagyayabang ang Adamson, shempre pag inaasar ka,gaganti ka rin,pag kinikim mo kasi asar, fokus mo masisira, and it’s not wrong to brag about what you can do,it’s called honesty, kung hanep lang naman talaga tira mo eh dapat ipagmalaki,it stregthen’s competition, nachachallenge din ang kalaban na gamitin mo secret moves mo,
Pag Adamson lang naman ang kalaban mo nangyayari yan eh,ung ibang teams naman na kalaban ng FEU,walang ganyan kasi may breeding ung ibang teams, thay trash talk in a different manner,it’s the coach fault why “her” players act like that, because “she” allows it,kung ako yun, ipagpapalabas ko ng court si Segodine at Lagiles pag napatawag ng referee, nakakahiya sila..
Wish you the best…
Basta ang ugali ay ugali…
my top 4: ssc-r, adu, admu and feu (swerte lang ng feu kasi sila kukuha ng place na dapat for dlsu or uste)
[Reply]
Yes, maybe feu will have a slot for this coming Vleague.
My forecast for the top 3…
BASTE
ADMU - if their import is somewhat like Kesinee
AdU
since they’re on top last vleague conference.
[Reply]
pero di kasali ang UST at Lasalle so it would be FEU SCSC-R ADU at Ateneo….hehehe… yun….
[Reply]
Pag nakita ko na complete line up(including imports)…then we’ll see who’s the team to beat this season…
[Reply]
[Reply]
sana si kesinee ulit
She is the authority in blocking…so brainy in placing the ball as well as good in reception…
hoho nga sana may line up na….
[Reply]
Pag si Roces ang import ng Baste,,,
Middle blocker/hitter pa rin kaya sya…sino papalit sa pwesto ni Boulee???I’m not that familiar with NCAA kasi…
[Reply]
siguro it would either be margarita pepito or china repolyo who would be replacing baulee’s position. or pwede din namang i-convert si mirasol into a wing spiker. let’s just wait and see.
SSCR SI ROCES! WAH.
oi..oi..
“bbol”..anu ung
6-2 formation?
sowi ah..bgo plng eh..
6 - 2 formation means, there are 2 setters in the court always, for example, palyers 1 and 4 are the two setters. They are positioned opposites(diagonally) themselves in the rotation, whoever(setter) is in the backrow, she will move forward to set the ball leaving the setter in the front row act as spiker…so there are always three spikers on the front row.
tingin ko rin si repollo nga papalit kay Bualee… pero baka mahihirapan sya, dahil maliit sya…di ko kasi napanood yung recent NCAA…kaya i don’t know who’s their other open(wing) spiker…pwede nga rin si Pepito…
tin_tan… the setter which come from the backrow can set but must not extend/reach her hand above the net and can also do the jump set.
cguro USLS makakapasok sa finals.. im from negros kasi eh.. kahit di ko pa sila nakikitang maglaro, i know that they’re strong.. usls vs. baste or usls vs. admu… hehehe
[Reply]
bkit di mglalaro USTe?
[Reply]
for BBOL:
matanong ko lang sayo, have watched kesinee play last season? how do you find her,, uhm , in terms of “ugali?”
[Reply]
Yup, she had also that thing however tolerable…(or maybe just misunderstood since she was fun of shouting, she led the Ateneo, but she tried to keep it to herself…had you watched that she faced her team mates when she shouted?)…that was also my first impression with Jean Balse…akala ko yabang na yung sisigaw ka pag nakablock…pero iba talaga pag pinakilala mo sarili mo through showing your number(jersey)…
I’d said…I hate it most when almost everybody in the team is doing it…grabeng tactics yan…kakaiba.
Anyway, this is just my opinion…di ako nagmamarunong,…ang sakin lang…you must bring out your sportsmanship whenever you play…not just before and after the game…di ba maganda if your opponents will be intimidated ‘coz magaling ka??? not because sinindak mo sila…
..uO ngA tgAl nG line up..
..im excited to see mary jane pepito again..
..aNd syAng my favorite team UST will not join the game..
..well! i will support FEU and ADU nlng..
..mAybe ateneo for their guest player..

alm mu ba kun pnu ung 6-2 formation?
hi there tin_tan…. 6-2 is a team with two setter playing just like Semana and Abanto of FEU and who can actually spike, hit and attack…
[Reply]
AdU - Nerissa Bautista
SSC - Suzanne Roces
Lyceum - Rubie de Leon
ADMU - Pu Kanchana
CSB - Erika Yamaguchi (Japanese import)
FEU - Michelle Carolino
USJ-R - Erika Verano
USL - (haven’t submitted yet)
from e_v_a_n of vleague.ph,but im not sure if this source is to be trusted
Benilde’s starting unit is composed of Doreen Sanchez, Kerlyne Mulintapang, Erika Calomot, Erika Yamaguchi, Kathryn Rose Pamintuan and LC Girly Quemada
This will be my first time to watch them(Benilde) playing…i’m so excited…

thanks anyway..
are you rooting for ust?
Yup…i’m an avid fan of UST especially Balse and Bernal…but for this coming V-league…so many teams to watch for…however basing on the last conference…i think Baste(pwede rin adamson or ateneo) is the team to beat this conference…more likely my heart goes for them especially if Roces is with them…
ya..i think pour right
i think Baste is the team to beat this conference..
i like both bernal and balse..but mas gusto si bernal!!!!!..
roces?
damn wise player..lufet ng hang time nya just like edjet mabbayad!!!!!!..
tngin mu sa feu this conference?
cla an uaap champs..last season 69 runner up cla pewo sa v-league there in the bottom..you thnk abot cla khit sa qfinals lng?
sa ngayon…for this conference…maybe may slot sila for the semis but i still have doubt for them to be the champion…this is my opinion lang naman…pero kung talagang gagalingan pa nila…let’s just see…di naman kasi automatic na pag nag champion ka in one league…eh malaki na chance mo to be on the top or you’ll be the team to beat…lalo na ngayon mag iiba ang line up ng lahat ng teams because of their guest players…tulad ng Ateneo na umangat ng husto last conference because of Kesinee! Iba kasi talaga ang vleague compared to UAAP/NCAA.

charo patty and bello are still playing in season 5 shakeys v league, i saw them last sunday. they improve a lot specially in blocking where a volleyball team can win a championship if they concentrate on blocking consistently, congrats to ateneo
