Umm, okay. I have to admit, this YouTube video made me cry during the middle portion. It must be because of the Martin Nievera song that was used I think. Sadly, we all know by now that UST will skip Shakey’s V-League Season 5. So this prompted a fan to create a tribute video for the UST Women’s Volleyball Team. Okay. So I stopped crying after reading the bahag-hari analogy part because I didn’t quite get what it means. This video tribute was created by BiEnA for rpspikers.tk forum. The V-League may never be the same without UST. But like they say: The show must go on.
Manalo o matalo, UST pa rin kami!!! Unfortunately, this wouldn’t seem to be applicable this time around since UST will be skipping the upcoming V-League Season 5. But we all know that they’ll be back to shine once more. Afterall, they are the Shakey’s V-League defending champions.

Sana sumali pa rin ang UST, kahit ang palaruin ay yung mga subs. Sayang din ang mga yon, laging nakabangko, baka kung ilalaban sila sa v-league mahasa ang skills nila. Ngayon kung matalo mga yon, understood naman ng sambayanang Pilipino. There’s nothing to be ashamed of kung di madefend ang title, ang mahalaga nandyan pa rin at lumalaban.

Anyway spectator lang ako, hehehe…Mahirap naman sigurong manghimasok sa mga desisyon nila.

pero nde lang naman yung injury ni balse, bernal at tabaquero ang dahilan e. marami pa. si coach august, studies, tapos burned-out na sila. tapos yung pressure. mabababaw yung reasons pero pag sama sama mahirap talaga. kung yung injury lang kaya naman, last v-league injured si tabaquero at balse. kung sa coach kaya naman din dahil may 2 pang assistant. yung burned out ok lang yan kasi lahat naman ng teams burned out. sa studies, bakasyon naman e, pwede magawan ng paraan. pero pagsamasamahin mo nakakastress diba? let’s give them the benefit of the doubt. let’s support them na lang in the next season of UAAP.

Dati nung maliit pako, gusto ko na volleyball pero nawala because of my medical condition, bumalik lang nung nagstart akong panoorin ang UST WVT. Before i fall in love again with the sport, I fell in love first with UST WVT!

I admire their characters, like Balse and Bernal,

Pero ng mapanood ko ang local games tulad ng UAAP at V-league, UST yung nakabihag ng atensyon ko. Di ko nga alam kung bakit pero parang meron silang malakas na appeal na gusto mung subaybayan ang bawat laro nila. Kakaiba ang dating.. Hehehehe.. Kaya ng nalungkot ako ng malaman ko na di sila sasali. Sayang talaga ang title nila na dedefend pa sana nila. Pero di naman maaavoid ang mga di magagandang nangyari sa team. making a comparison is just a normal thing to do especially if you’re an avid fan/supporter because you’ll have the chance to see the edges of each player from other players. you’ll be able to know the strengths and the weaknesses of each player, and would observe as well how much improvements needed by a certain player. it’s just that when you do this, you shouldn’t be bias just because you give such favors to your favorite player/players, and you tend to be bias on the other hand…, just like a smart observer should do when making a comment towards the players, we must based our comments/opinions on how players play and perform their task, and not by criticizing them because we hate them and worst, we simply don’t like their physical features! and that would be the most “shallow” manifestation of our personality and poor/lousy judgements…PEACE(”,)!

shakey’s v league last year,she hurt her shoulder,and because they dont have any other reliable player,she has no choice but to continue playing in shakey’s v league,tapos nag UAAP pa,di makagalinggaling yung balikat nya kaya sha laging may masking tape sa right shoulder,ako may injury sa balikat because of playing badminton,tapos pag araw araw ka pala naglaro,di talaga sha gagaling,kahit nawala na after sometime bigla na lang ulit sasakit,ganun pag may injury sa balikat.
hahay nbn talaga ang broadcasting network ng vleague, again, sana the game will be more famous than what it is right now para naman lalakas pa at mailipat na sa studio 23 hehehe….mabuti nalang maganda reception ng nbn ko at 2 channels heheheh…

making a comparison is just a normal thing to do especially if you’re an avid fan/supporter because you’ll have the chance to see the edges of each player from other players. you’ll be able to know the strengths and the weaknesses of each player, and would observe as well how much improvements needed by a certain player. it’s just that when you do this, you shouldn’t be bias just because you give such favors to your favorite player/players, and you tend to be bias on the other hand…, just like a smart observer should do when making a comment towards the players, we must based our comments/opinions on how players play and perform their task, and not by criticizing them because we hate them and worst, we simply don’t like their physical features! and that would be the most “shallow†manifestation of our personality and poor/lousy judgements…PEACE(â€,)!

i was rily sad nung nalaman ko ung balitang d makksali ang UST sa v-league dis season.iba kc ung fun & excitement na naibbgay nla sa fans wen dey play,and ung bonding nila inside the court is rily extraordinary..mahirap iexplain kung bakit superb tlga ang paghanga ko sa knila,all i know is im happy when i see them play.although ngaun,mejo on the rocks cla..pero for sure they’ll come back to regain what the’ve lost,nd hopefully ung ngyari sknila will serve as a learning experience 4 them.

i’m hoping that UST will change their decision,..maraming fans ang nadidis appoint dahil nga sa balitang hindi cla sasali,..
Disappoinment - that’s only for a while…i feel also how you feel however let’s just respect their decision…sometimes you need to retreat in order to rebuild…i’ve learnt that most of them are injured…look at Santos, Gotis, etc, who skipped a season or another because they needed it.
Let’s just support them and hope for the next big thing next UAAP season!
For now, let’s enjoy the upcoming V-league.
I know we’ll be rooting for different teams now since our fave team is not joining…

Mabibigat reasons ng UST kung bakit di sila makakasali.
I’ve read speculations of others, about UST’s withdrawal which are using discriminating words such as ‘unsportsmanlike’ ‘nagiinartz’(gay word ata yan) and a lot more.
Some even say na mababaw daw ang mga reasons.
Others are saying na ok lang na maglaro pa rin dahil may mga asst. coaches naman na pwedeng pumalit. Pero it’s hard to play because of their situation. Hindi naman simple yung nangyari kay coach August. Pero si coach August kasi na-stroke, nasa ospital pa, and kalian lang nakakarecognize. Buti paganda na raw yung condition niya. This was according to some insiders in PEX.
So mahirap maglaro ng ganoon ang situation. Aside from the fact na kulang na sila.
About focusing on their studies, that’s also true. Magsusummer nga, pero hindi naman sa summer masasagasaan ang crucial stages of their academics.
Feb-March ang crucial stages. So ibig sabihin, Heavy training na dapat sila ngayon at kasabay pa ng academics nila kung sasali sila sa vleague. Ayaw na nilang mangyari yung nangyari kay Maizo. Hindi nila inexpect yun.
Sinisiguro nilang makukumpleto sila next season at wala ng magkakaproblema sa kanila sa academics.
UST has a good record in strictly adhering to the rules and regulations.
Never nakikialam ang athletic dept. nila sa mga academics para lakarin.
UST doesn’t hesitate to sit down players even star players in a season.
It happened to Cyrus Baguio before.
Now, Maizo in volleyball.
Even Jojo Duncil is eligible to play but was not allowed by UST out of delicadeza because of the questions of other schools about his eligibility.
So napakabigat na reason to. Making this time sure na wala ng mababawas sa kanila.
So it’s better for them to sit this down first.
These are all valid reasons. In fact each of them is a valid reason.

Like what I said totoo yun. Alam mo naman important ang Feb to March sa academics di ba. Maybe next conference. Parati naman silang sumasali every vleague. Pero this time lang nila naencounter yung case ni Maizo. Kaya totoong nag-aaral sila hindi ‘etsus yun’ hehe. dahil di talaga ugali ng athletic department makialam at siguraduhing ayos ang academics. If I’m not mistaken si Fr. De Sagun yung head athletic dept. nila. Nagcite naman na ako ng examples of sitting down players in a season. Maybe next conference.

It’s ok to speculate. We can all speculate. No matter how negative it is, but hopefully still be in line with the standards of proper decorum. Sana sarilihin na lang if we will utter thosed kind of words if we are not sure. I am a UST supporter, a little bit insulted nga with words like ‘unsportsmanlike’ and others.
Pero ok lang sa akin and I will not retaliate with negative words also. I did not even mention names.
These kinds of words are the target of bashers.
duncil did’nt play kasi he chose pba over uaap
Nope, I believe it was the decision of UST to not let him play. There was a question of his eligibility regarding his official age. Duncil insisted that he is not overage and can still play for the team. While waiting for the results over the issue of his age, UST out of delicadeza opted not to let him play because of the strong opposition of some schools.
The sad thing is the result was officially released after the tournament has ended and Duncil was found out still eligible to play and could have been part of the campaign in defending their title.

im a young professional that’s why i couldn’t come early at home just 2 watch v league. Truly, i got so sad when i found out that my champion wouldn’t join this conference. How can i forget bernal, balse tabaquero n da rest of the team. I have no business with the team. The reason why i love them bcoz of their attitude in the game. Since v league started in 2004 i become their fan. Hopefully they can join next conference. i love u all uste! Keep on the firing line. U r my inspiration! God bless
