6. As former team captain, what are the advantages and disadvantages of being a team captain for your team?
An advantage of being the team captain is that you can bully your younger teammates. Haha. Kidding. For me, I don’t really see any advantage of being the captain, it’s just the same as being a player of the team. A disadvantage of being a captain is that you have to always be at your best. People look up to you and it would be disastrous if you make errors.
7. If you’re not playing for La Salle, which UAAP school or just a regular school do you want to play for? Why?
No other school. Lasalle is where the heart is!
8. Likewise, how does it feel to play for La Salle? Did the suspension last year affect the team per se?
It feels good to play for a school like La Salle, La Salle is a competitive school both academically and in sports. The suspension didn’t really affect the way we play the game because even if we were suspended, we still trained hard. The only negative thing was that we didn’t play in UAAP.
9. During the last UAAP, aside from your team, which team was the toughest to go against with? Who’s the toughest player?
UE was the only team we lost to in the UAAP, so I guess UE. Michael Reyes of UE.
10. What was your most memorable UAAP game or volleyball moment?
My first year in UAAP against UE, I was still a rookie then. I hit a very strong spike against our opponent and everybody was like “WHOA”. I was so happy when I scored that point and I even did a cartwheel after it! haha
11. What do you think is the difference between the current La Salle team and the La Salle team before which won a back-to-back championship?
The way they played their game. I guess they just put a lot more heart in playing than us.
12. Enough of volleyball. We all know that you eat, breath, and sleep volleyball. Tell us about your pastime and hobbies.
My favorite past time is going out with friends or surfing the net. I also play other sports like soccer, tennis, badminton and swimming.
13. We know you’re always busy with training with DLSZ and RP Team training but what was the last movie you watched?
10,000 BC with my close friends Carlo Arnaldo and Renz Casanova, also players of the team.

So Miles, who do you think is a better overall volleyball player, Edjet Mabbayad of FEU or Xavier Señoren?

He will be a big boost to the ADMU line-up in the upcoming UAAP, since this kid has good credentials. He had represented the country and steered DLSU in a good finish in the juniors division. This kid will bring the light to the ADMU team. He will be another sensational player to watch in the years to come. I wish men’s volleyball will have the same greatness as the women’s, since the men’s plays better the game of volleyball.
Definitely. He will really be a big boost in the Ateneo Blue Spikers plus the other recruits.
nakalaban na namin dati ung team nila sa MNCAA. we won 2 games against them on the elimination round then surrendered to them at the finals. our twice-to-beat advantage was just wasted. aheheh. magaling tlaga xa knowing na third year lang xa nun. basta, all i can say is, i received an open attack from him with just one hand and we got the score. sub lang kce aku nun kce hingal na ung main players. kala nila patay na. ahehe. so may bragging rights pa rin ako as a person and it was a privilege to receive a hard spike from a rising volleyball player like him. by the way, we won that game in 5 sets.

kidding aside, i must say that this kid has the height which he could use to give an awesome defense and offense as well…, and it would be great to know if he can execute such powerful and deadly spikes! well, he still has a lot of time to improve his skills and abilities. who knows, he might be the answer to more popularity of volleyball and hopefully, he’ll eventually lead the rp team to the much expected victory not only in SEA Games, Asian Games, but also to some famous and prestigious international volleyball league. let’s just cross our fingers for that wishful thinking of mine…(”,)!

In fact, Xavier fits very well with the young Ateneo team. The team has the twin towers Mike de Joya who stands 6′4 and AJ Pareja at 6′5. Incidentally, they are also the #2 and #3 in UAAP Best Scoring Department. Adding him will make the team even taller.
in addition, he’ll surely also contribute a lot with regards in scoring and blocking department…, so obviously, ateneo will be a team to be expected to come as a strong and solid team for the next season of the UAAP…(”,)!
