UAAP Volleyball Season 70 Awardees
The awarding ceremony took place last week. Here are the UAAP Volleyball Season 70 awardees for Men’s and Women’s Volleyball divisions:
Men’s Volleyball:
- Best Scorer: EDJET MABBAYAD (FEU)
- Best Attacker/Spiker: EDJET MABBAYAD (FEU)
- Best Blocker: CHRIS MACASAET (DLSU)
- Best Server: RAYKARL DIMACULANGAN (UST)
- Best Setter: JESSIE LOPEZ (FEU)
- Best Digger/Libero: CHARLES GLENDON REYES (UST)
- Best Receiver: FRANCISCO DELA CRUZ (FEU)
- Rookie of the Year : JAYSON RAMOS (UST)
Women’s Volleyball:
- Best Scorer: MA. ROSARIO SORIANO (ADMU)
- Best Attacker/Spiker: MARY JEAN BALSE (UST)
- Best Blocker: CELINE ANNE HERNANDEZ (DLSU)
- Best Server: RISSA JANE LAGUILLES (ADU)
- Best Setter: JANET SERAFICA (ADU)
- Best Digger/Libero: LIZLEE ANN GATA (ADU)
- Best Receiver: MA. ROSARIO SORIANO (ADMU)
- Rookie of the Year: MA. CARMINA DENISE ACEVEDO (ADMU)
The awards were (most likely) based on the stats up until the end of the Elimination rounds. See the UAAP Volleyball Daily Bulletin #14 to see the final stats. For the Women’s division, Jacqueline Alarca of DLSU should have won the Best Blocker award (hands-down!) but she got disqualified due to her ineligibility issue. The password was “volleyball” but I took out na since March 2 na. So the chatbox is officially open now so you can start using it to post your fearless forecasts!!!
Goodluck to all teams playing for the UAAP Volleyball championships later. Season 70 has been really exciting and full of drama.

yipey!!! my girls won,,, am happy they never gave up, atlast,,, the crown is ours to enjoy hehehe…am sad for the mens though but it is ok,,,sometimes its all yours and sometimes it doesnt go your way,,,we have to accept that its not all about winning…in volleyball,,, it is all about on how youre going play the game… for both losing team yesterday,,, thank you for giving a good game that we all really enjoyed and goodluck on your net playing game… to my team congratulations,,, am very very happy that the Lady Tams finally have the crown now after losing it to UST last year… i really hope that you will still continue to play with heart, with all your heart,wendy anne semana, my superwoman, thank you for the wonderful yet incredible things youve done for the LADY TAMS WVT, you are indeed the best volleyball player in the UAAP history,,,am happy that your name is now on its history…hehehe…to ADU a big congratulations to you all…its sad that you loss but hey to be that far is already a price, youve proven that you are definitely a team to beat…hoping you to play better and harder…

Sorry for the mens sa pagkakatalo but there’s always next time bawi na lang …I commended that game played yesterday by the FEU tamaraws was really an overwhelmed.
