Wanna play volleyball with Rachel Anne Daquis for free?
Then join the Nike Love Bug campaign. The concept is simple. You’ll get to choose a sport that you love playing and then sign up for free sessions. You’ll get to play with other love bugs who signed up for the same sport. Umm, but you won’t get to play volleyball with Rachel Anne Daquis. Sorry. She was just the Nike model for this Love Bug promo. But hey, who knows, maybe after the UAAP Finals she can be invited to join the volleyball sessions.
More About the Nike Love Bug
I think this promo started last February 3, 2008 and will last until April 30, 2008. Nike will sponsor your “first date” with a sport of your choice by arranging a sport trial session for you. There’s a total of 8 sports to choose from:
- ULTIMATE FRISBEE - “I’ll catch you everytime.”
- BELLY DANCING - “Let’s shake things up.”
- VOLLEYBALL - “Allow me to court you.”
- ROCK CLIMBING - “We’ll scale great heights together.”
- FOOTBALL - “You’ll get a kick out of me.”
- WAKEBOARDING - “I’ll draw you in.”
- YOGA - “I’ll go to great lengths for you.”
- SURFING - “My love is an ocean.”
The site requires you to download and install the Nike Love Bug widget which also means that you need to install Yahoo! Widgets to make the application work. This Love Bug thing will allow you to get news and updates from Nike as well as interact with fellow Love Bugs which includes Rachel Anne Daquis supposedly (rachel@nikewomen.com.ph). You’ll need to sign-up for your free sports trial sessions via the Love Bug. Your desktop will look something like this:

Is it just me or did nike (NIKE!!!) do a poor job of promoting this program? VolleyVall fans support Rachel and the sport nonetheless!!

Is it just me or is Daquis’ beauty the kontrabida type of beauty? I mean sure she’s beautiful but not the welcoming type of beauty, more of mataray beauty. For me the most beautiful player is Charo Soriano, she may not be the mestiza classical beauty but nonetheless I think she would shine more when put beside Daquis.
