FEU made it three in a row by defeating UST again in 4 sets. Also, FEU men’s demolished UST by straight sets. It is a double celebration for FEU Men’s and women’s volleyball teams. I guess we can gauge who will face in the finals; ADU vs FEU (women’s) and FEU vs UST (men’s). Let’s watch the game on Sunday at the arena between FEU and ADU. Let’s see if ADU can make it three in a row, or FEU will pull a win over ADU. This is a much awaited game since only ADU have beaten FEU twice. I want to see if FEU can maintain the kind of intensity they demonstrated today when they will face ADU on Sunday. They have the chance to grab the top spot. Once again, let’s go out! cheer and support these teams.

Nice game for the lady tamaraws, defeating the lady tigers is 4 sets..nice over all team effort by FEU.Rachel Anne Daquis played her best game so far this season.Morada and Abanto also played great game.syempre si Semana “the best over all player for me”played her usual game pa rin.plus si Gonzales and si Cafranca.. having 2 versatile setters in Semana and Abanto really helps The lady taMz.any time pwede mag set or maging spiker silang dalawa.and i think un ung isang advantage nila over UST or any other team sa UAAP womens volleyball ngayon..

kala ko magiging close game kanina and UST mananalo kasi maganda ung naging first set nila.. yun lng…first set lng pala..and after that its all FEU..pro medyo sa forth gumanda laro ni Balse..pro salamat sa “LIBERO” ng UST nakahabol FEU.

Yesterday’s game was the best game of Rachel Anne Daquis. She even hit denise tan on the face which cheered the FEU fans and players. Another one is Tabaquero who was hit by morada. With Daquis and morada playing this kind of game, including the setting of semana and abanto, digs and passes of the libero and the rest of the team. My GOd! FEU will be a fearless and much deserving contender for the championship— and later crowned champion.

Only yesterday’s game, I saw the two schools bands boosting their teams, as if I was watching a basketball game. It’s about time that volleyball be given such attention by the cheering or bands, not only basketball.

Sunday’s game will determine who will be the number 1 and 2 teams in the standings. However, both teams are now enjoying twice-to-beat incentive over UST and ADMU. I wish the final four will be more exciting to watch.

UST must now think how to manage to land in the finals by finding a solution in the center position. If they want to maintain the title, they have to remove mance in the first six, because she is a liability in blocking. Her liabilities in the court, such as blocking, were the reasons why Tan and TAbaquero were hit on the head (FACIAL with MIKASA imprints). There is a big hole in the blocking whenever she is in front line. Only their blocking is good when Balse is infront. I think they have to include the UTILITY (Torrijos) in their plays by giving her more sets to variate their attacks, they are becoming predictable in their attacks.

The UST libero (Curanto) came to the game not mentally prepared, as if she is not their defense specialist. I know, the LIBERO should be passing, digging, and chasing check balls? I think she forgot that is a player, settled to be a spectator. She is a BIG disappointment!

I know some UST fans might disagree with my observations, but I wish some fans who really plays and understands the game will agree with me. Otherwise, UST will kiss their 2nd championship goodbye!!!!!! if they prefer to continue to play the kind of game yesterday.

At the end of the day, FEU is still the better team over UST.

this is how to go to The Arena in San juan, if you are coming from quiapo, ride the g-liner bus going to taytay or cainta, tell the conductor that you will go down at the arena. if you are coming from Edsa just ride a bus (g-liner & rrcg) going to quiapo beside robinsons galleria. again tell the conductor that you will go down at The Arena.

I just don’t get it. Why can’t the tigresses beat the tamaraws!!! Gusto ko pa naman matalo nila yung mga mayayabang na yun na mga mukhang chimay naman (especially morada, taganas and abanto, papangit swear!!!)

im an FEU fan..pro hindi ko lng magets kung bkit naging big issue ung mga natamaan na UST players..for sure wala nman may gusto na makasakit sila ng kapwa players nila..its just a game..and in games sometimes people get hurt..and isa pang issue ung istura ng mga players..This is a volleyball tournament not a beauty contest..so sana wala ng laiitan bout sa itsura ng mga players..

FEU and UST teams and their rivalry are one of the reasons why volleyball is popular today. UST and Rachelle Anne daquis made the sport more popular to us who are outside the volleyball community.

the bashing is back again..haha..first of all, FEU did play a great game against UST last wednesday..i believe winning that game came down to floor defense which FEU had the advantage of..i was disappointed because UST didn’t bring the intensity they had during their match against ADU..if they had the same level of play, then they would’ve won wednesday ’s match..i would like to point out that even though some of the lady tamaraws are praised because they bring their A-game against the tigresses, at the end of the day daquis is the only lady tamaraw who is part of the national team..probably semana after what she has shown..in my opinion,and i hope no one takes it personally, morada won’t be part of the national team and won’t be able to replace balse as the princess of middle hitters..(i used the term “princess” because i believe roxanne pimentel is the queen..hehe)

height-wise, balse has the advantage..
blocking-wise, balse has the advantage..
power-wise (against tall international players), balse still has the advantage…
versatility-wise, balse has the advantage..

see, morada is indeed a powerful hitter but we must take into consideration the entirety of a player and not just particulars..against international teams, the likes of morada won’t strengthen our chances of winning matches..i’m not trying to say anything against morada but i’m just relaying my opinion..(i’ll have to clarify myself over and over because some of the people here interpret things very differently..hehe)

to slytherinz: UST is not boring to watch because if they were, then they wouldn’t have that many fans and supporters from their school and other schools as well who would cheer for them..hehe

to Lasallista: i believe the tigresses are part of the national team because they are the best that we have..personally, questioning why they are part of the RP team is simply dispensable..if we had all the lady tamaraws as the RP team players, i don’t think Philippine volleyball will regain its morale..that’s not bashing mind you..i’m not saying that daquis and semana don’t deserve to be part of the RP team, i’m just saying that the players are chosen based on what they can really do..UST may be “off” everytime they play FEU but every great team experiences that…russia, cuba and brazil have their “off” days and so does UST..

sa tingin ko pinaghahandaan talaga ng FEU ang USte, kasi sabi nga ni Semana noon na every team sa UAAP gusto matalo ang UST, eh sila lang nakakagawa nun, siguro dahil yung kagustuhan nilang ma beat ang Uste eh andun they really did ung best nila, pag USTe at FEu ang naglalaro parang ayaw ko umalis sa harap ng TV eh, magaling lahat ng players ng both team, yung libero lang ng USTe mdyu mahina, sana palitan nila. at tama yung coment ng iba sa taas na lahat ng player ng FEu nag spike, maliban kay taganas na libero nila, i like semana and abanto, setter na nga spiker pa, that’s what a player should be. iilan lang kasi spiker ng USTe kaya yun lang binabantayan ng FEU eh, no need sa iba na di ba di naman spiker eh.
parehas na malakas ang USTe at FEU mdyu naungasan lang siguro ng Play’s ang USTe, pero tiyak ko babawe sila jeje. w8 na lang tau sa next game nila.

MORADA AS AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO RP TEAM:
ANALYSIS of an idiot in volleyball,feeling ko lang magandang panghalili si morada sa rp team why kase we really need tall spikers coz they can hit over the blockers pero kung may variation sa height ang isang team mas mahihirapan ang blockers ng kabilang team sa timing ng mga blocks,its harder to block someone who is not at your own height kasi magkaiba kau ng timing ,e madalas sa international games unison ang height,saka whats good withh small players are their great camouflage,their built is small that’s why its hard to gaurd them,look at “morada” and “acevedo” and “mercado” mc’s always point out that theyre so “likot”heheh you dont know when and where theyll attack,smaller players are qucik jumpers and have excellent hung time coz thyre weightless thats why they can easily penetrate blocks,and i think smaller players are smarter players coz they have to cope by being smart coz they lack the hieght,morada can turn to a setter coz shes small and will be an excellent digger for defense purposes,sorry to disagree but they can grab morada as an alternate quick hitter in the rp team.

Hindi naman sa unfair, it just so happen na that’s the case of us who are outside the volleyball community why we became a fan.

Daquis was mentioned to me before by my girl friend who’s an alumnae already of FEU. She told me how pretty and popular she was at her school.
Malaking bagay yung break nung dec why most of the people noticed the volleyball scene because of its airing at ch23 and ch4. My case I believe mga November pa yun.
I stumbled on ch23 and noticed Denise Tan. After that I became excited and was interested in watching every UST game during the Vleague. Inaabangan namin sila.
Then me and my friends started noticing other players and teams like charo, mj pepito, and the UPwvt, I like the UP team for some reasons.

Rachelle Anne Daquis and Denise Tan are the most beautiful players in the local sporting world. That’s my own opinion. Kahit maghanap pa kayo ng kapintasan nila.
Kahit may mas maganda pang iba because of fine features.
It’s really hard to explain the charisma that they have.
It’s not even the chinita eyes of Denise there’s nothing extraordinary about that.
Others use the word hot in describing her but I’d rather use the word sex appeal.
Not only have they had pretty ladies like Carla Benedicto and Angeli, UST also posseses a different character as a team which made them the darlings of the crowd.

We can’t deny the fact that UST’s popularity is a phenomenon;
Even some FEU students I know were also a fan of Denise and UST.
Denise herself even mentioned that during her Tv patrol interview. It’s hard to explain the charisma that they have.
The tondo fans who were not students of UST and others outside the volleyball community, is a testament of their charisma.

Hindi nga beauty pageant to pero malaking bagay ang charisma nila in making the sport popular and bringing the sport to other people who are outside the volleyball community. Kaya pati media and sporting brands pinagpipiyestahan sila.

Rachelle Anne and UST are ambassadors of the sport by acclaimation.

wag na kasing patulan, FAN kami ng UST kaya iba ang nakikita namin sa nakikita mo. I personally am a fan of FEU rin and it’s true na last season “OFF” ang FEU nung finals kaya natalo sila. nakikita ko yun kasi fan nila ako.. alam ko kung ano talaga ang laro ng FEU. To some UST fans, they didn’t notice na OFF ang FEU that time kasi wala silang pakialam, that’s it. This season, syempre mas kilala namin ang players namin (may onting bias of course) pero alam naming OFF talaga ang UST pag FEU ang kalaban. siguro dahil kay taganas. hehehe. pero bat kayo nde nyo rin nakikita yung side ng UST. nakita nyo ba kung pano nila nilampaso ang ADU? ganun din ba yung laro nila versus FEU? nde diba? ni walang nagaattempt magdig ng mga palo ng FEU. walang nagdidive. very evident samin kasi alam namin kung pano maglaro ang UST. hindi evident sayo kasi wala ka pakialam at puro FEU lang ang magaling sayo. ganun lang po yun. wag na lang din kasi mag-asaran kung magkakapikunan lang din.

with regards naman to appearance, may mga FEU fans din naman na nanglait sa physical looks ng ADU nung natalo sila. ganun talaga ang fans. they come in all shapes and sizes. may sobrang SOLID na talagang makikipagpatayan at makikipagtalo kahit wala na sa tamang reasoning. Meron din mga very open minded. Nde mawawala yan. kahit sa FEU fans iba iba rin yan. if you think nde sila nag-iisip, ikaw na ang mag-isip ng matino at wag na silang patulan.

the question is: can morada block a 6′3″ spiker?..i guess not..she does have the quickness and power, i’ll give her those, but then she doesn’t have the height to back it up..she’s only around 5′6, if i’m not mistaken, while balse is 5′11..i guess it will take a very long time before she’ll be able to replace balse as a starting middle hitter..if i were an international player, it would be easy to block and defend morada since she is of smaller stature..i don’t think international teams would opt for small players unless they are really exceptional..hence, our RP team should have the same standards so that we would be able to boost the morale of volleyball in our country..

am happy of what i saw yesterday, sayang nga lang, pero FEU tried hard though, kung sinipagan pa nila panalo sana, pero adamson really did well, no chance for FEU-UST in the finals, kasi sana kung naitalo ng FEU and ADU, may malaking chance na may FEU-UST uli sa championship… ang nangyari kasi ngaun ADU vs ADMU at FEU vs UST, ang panalo sa dalawang laban ang may papasok sa championship round, sayang talaga pero adamson deserve the championship also… what they did yesterday was spectacular, they never gave up which is why they won the last three sets… galing… sana maipanalo uli ng favorite team ko ang laban nila on wednesday, anyway twice to beat sila…Go FEU, at kung sakali naman na maipanalo nila i hope they can beat ADU na…hehehe

im just looking forward by the FEU team because all the players of FEU was amazing like daquiz she had the beauty and the heigth but she proven to us that she is so amazing player of FEU by contributing thier attacks and take note she fights with thier team and she give her best to win thier team.Cafranca is my favorite player she had a very very simple attacks like dun sa laban nila against UST she proved that she had the skills because they block 2 times vhenus bernal and balse….im just so happy in that time.Gonzales had a very very good performance in this season of uaap because they showed what they have hindi sya nagdadalawang isip 2lad sa laban nila against UST she attack mary jane balse kahit alam nya na mabablock sya…pero shes so amazing tlaga bago plang sya naglalaro pero pinakta tlaga nya na contender sya blang isang rokie.MORADA im a fan of mecaila irish morada dahil napakagling nya tlaga like ung laban nila against adamson halos lahat ng points nila sya ang nagcontribute but its sad to say natalo nga lang sila sa pang limang set.pero ok lang mananalo din sila dyan pakita nyo nman sa finals lampaso niyo si benting..SEMANA hay nku wala akong masbi kay semana sya ang best player for me even though n hindi sya kasma sa mga top scorer eh.napakagaling tlaga nya imagine setter na sya spiker pa ganu kahrap un di ba…wala ako masabi sa kanya galing nya kahit d sya matangkad but she can jump so high kaya dapat mabgyan sya ng award..bait pa….and ABANTO the lefty was so galing tlaga kahit lefty sya she had shown to us that she is contender as a spiker and she is a setter like semana…kaya everytime n may laban sila im wacthing because galing nitong si ABANTO lalo na sa spiking at drop shot hehehe…
