They a powerhouse team, but they have weaknesses in their game they should improve when the final four starts. They should take one game at a time. tama ka rma mukhang d mananalo ngayon nag ust sa voleyball championship mukhang malaki ang butas ng depensa nila at setter nila ay may problema.. sa ADU dinadaan nila sa mabilis na atake at gulangan dapat malaman mg feu at ust kung paaano icounter attact cla..sa feu dahil sa marami sa kanila medyo maliit dapat gamitin nila yung gimagawa mg adu past attack pero magagaling naman cla lalo na seeters nila at libero… mukhang feu ang hula ko na mananalo ngayon…

it is undeniable that UST have what it takes to be the champion this season. but similar to what rma052172 said, UST loses the desire to win. bumababa yung caliber ng laro nila. take for example their game against UE. the first 2 sets are really really close, considering UE has never won a game yet. There was also one set in the UP-UST match that ended with 28-26, while ADU on the other hand won a set against UP with 25-5. If UST continues to play this way, the other teams will surely take advantage of it. I will not be surprised if ADU or FEU takes the crown from them.

TO USTWVT: please don’t let 973 readers of this blog down. I’m sure there are a whole lot more fanatics out there who still believes that you will eventually emerge as the winners and take the crown. please believe in yourselves and have the desire to win. the same desire you had when you won back2back championships in the v-league and last year’s UAAP WVB crown.

Hi girls. Ok lng un. Alam ng mga coaches n mganda ang approach ng UST this season. Pti FEU ganun dn ata ang gameplan e. Balewala yng mga wins n yn. What matters most is the championship.

FEU is just bringing their A-game against UST. So their lost against Adamson is nothing. Hindi nila pnaghhandaan tlga ang adamson.While UST so far has not shown their A-game this season. My pressure s knila as a powerhouse to prove and defend the championship. Jn nman ako bilib s coaching staff ng UST. Alam nila ang approach towards the end of the season. You can’t bring your best every game. You must experience struggle and actually welcome defeat which is inevitable, go with the flow, learn all the adjustments needed(pti n rn ung mga shortcomings n cnsabi nyo) So when the time comes and you are in that kind of situation you are already in familiar territory, you know now what to do and know how to react on the adversities in an important game. So positive yn n maexperience mo ung defeat before the season ends. The negative side of it is that FEU and UST may rank 2nd and 3rd and they may not meet in the finals.

Ms mgingat ang adamson ngayon. They are not familiar on the struggles that they might face against a prepared or a powerhouse team when the important games come. The positive side for the adamson is that they know that their lineup is not a powerhouse team. So there’s no pressure in their shoulders to prove their impressive record.

So we haven’t seen yet the real scenario.
UST is still on the right track in defending their title through the proper direction of their coaching staff.

Let’s all watch the remaining games, especially this coming Sunday. Will UST win over ADU, with their backs against the wall, whether they will go for a possible triple tie or settle for the third position? Will ADMU pull a win over FEU to take the fourth position in the standings and avoid a playoff with DLSU? The last game day of the eliminations will change the complexion of the final fourth standings. Their is a possibility that UST will not enjoy the twice-to-beat incentive in the final fourth, and settle for the third spot if they will lose to ADU. ADU wants to pull a win over them, to prove the first round win was just a fluke. The challenge is now with UST, whether they deserve the heart of a CHAMPION and desire to retain the championship, because a lot teams are hungrier for it. For UST, GOOD LUCK and prove your detractors wrong. For ADU, Do your best to be number 1. For FEU, Play your game because everybody noticed that your game is now better than before. For ADMU, put all your efforts and work as a team to upset FEU. Don’t depend on one player. Six players must have the desire to play to win. For DLSU, PRAY for a playoff berth with ADMU. The only team to have a seventh player on the team to make it to the top 50 is FEU with:

Cabanag at 44th with 30 pts.

If you can observe, both Adamson and FEU are really working as a team that if one player gets a bad game, the others could step up (basing on the distribution of their points).

This is not the same case though as UST relies much (with their power attacks, who wouldn’t though) on Balse, Bernal and Tabaquero. The other ladies need to pour out more points as well.

Also, the switch between Dimaculangan and Tan could pretty well shake up UST. I’m not too sure but I think Tan’s confidence will definitely drop considering that she had been sitting on the bench most of the times (I love her but am just being objective). I just hope that the memory that Tan set their way to the crown last season will not be lost.

Adamson has been lording over all other teams. If you will look at the minutes played between Adamson and the other teams, they got most of the shortest time played except of course UST and DLSU. However, they might just feel the pressure of being at the top and might get just too relaxed on their games.

FEU, on the other hand, has been playing full force when it matters. As the season goes full swing, FEU gets even better and stronger. However, in their games against AdU, they have fallen twice in three straight sets…which still remains an enigma.

What’s in store for the three teams?

FEU has more young players compared to the other top two teams. Whether or not they will win this year, they will surely be a top contender in the coming years.

Adamson has never wore a UAAP crown. Will it be this year is what the girls are heavily working on. They have been a force to reckon with despite having a small line-up but their defense has lead them at par with the top teams. Most of their starters are still playing next season, so we will see.

UST has recently been lording major leagues. Height combined with skill and power proved to be too strong for most of the teams. But the question is, if Balse and Bernal will move on, will their claws be still sharp and the growl be as strong?

So who will win this year?

I would love to see Adamson get it. First would be sweet.

It would be sweet revenge for FEU not to mention continue their solid tradition.

It would be memorable for Balse (if true that this is her last playing season), probably one of the best to grace the court.

So who will win again?

It will be the TEAM with the most heart.

i really wish and hope that ateneo will be in the final four this season before charo ends up his school yrs in ateneo and before her playing term expires.SHes been playing with this team for more or less 4 yrs. Charo contributed a lot not only in this team ateneo but also in the uaap womens volleyball as whole ,she is a big factor on why this game is alive and continue to shine this season, this sports is now being been recognize by most of the people, they are starting to watch in their tv homes, even see it live in ateneo gym, volleyball fanatic person started to cheer for their favorite team and players, so charo is one of those player who really helps this sports known and famous in this era now.Charo’s fans also get to noticed/appreciate her sportmanship inside the court, she is a very nice/smart person, she scores/plays relentlessly but yet remain to be a humble person,she also quote” that she want to give something in return/back to ateneo who taught and supported her in one way or another and in many things she accomplish right now. charo really is a model volleyball player right now and nice person to look into. i hope this girl will not stop playing volleyball because she had so many admirers and avid fans outthere who wants to see her playing volleyball inside the court . i also hope that Phil sports commission will create a proffesional volleyball team or philippine volleyball association where bussiness owners/proprietor can indorse their bussiness product and can able to sponsor a team like for example creating womens volleyball for purefoods team, alaska milk volleyball team, san miguel beer volleyball team, and talk and text phone pal volleyball team.This can be achieve and possible thru advetisement and aired product indorsement,where this college player can be given an opportunity to play after their player term in colleges and universities expires. charo I think is very young really to be working after her season in uaap.I think she should enjoy at the penacle of the sports shes into,shes now very popular in womens volleyble in this era now, she should grab every opportunity at hand, she could earn more from indorsement and commercials, she can even help the Philippine Nat’l Team elevate on the top in womens volleyball asia. i hope feu can win this time, i know UST can play very well even in hard, tough times, and under pressure, they need to win this match to prove that they still deserve the championship, but if FEU will going to play and show what they did on their last two matches with the latter, and be even wiser, more quick and smarter, and add more combinations on their attacks, be more excellent in floor defense, and try to block evrytime the opponent is attacking and always have high confidence on their abilities, i think they can still beat ust, and i also think that upto these days FEU is the only team in the UAAP that does have the power to beat UST, and it is proven may times… am crossing my fingers on wednesday warfare…i hope that may favorite team perform well and even better…
