NU defeated UE in 5 sets: 21-25, 18-25, 25-20, 25-18, 15-9
Best Scorers were (#3) Jennifer Anne Cardoniga of National University with a total of 20 won points and (#10) Ginaflor Alanguilan of University of the East with 12 points. Game duration: 1hour and 48mins.
UST defeated De La Salle in 4 sets: 20-25, 31-29, 25-20, 25-23
Best Scorers were (#12) Venus Bernal of University of Santo Tomas with a total of 21 won points and (#6) Jacqueline Alarca of De La Salle University with 17 points. Game duration: 2hours and 7mins.
Adamson defeated UP in 3 sets: 25-23, 25-14, 25-11
Best Scorers were (#8) Angela Benting of Adamson University with a total of 13 won points and (#3) Danielle Castaneda of University of the Philippines with 9 points. Game duration: 1hour and 10mins.

grabe ng game ng UST and La Salle. I thought matatalo na ang UST kasi nakuha ng La Salle first with authority. Hina ng Net defense and Floor defense ng UST during that set. Palo nio Tabaquero laging nakukuha ni Llaguno, spikes ni Bernal laging na bablock. 2nd Set was a thriller, I thought La Salle will snatch that set kaso lang UST bounced back. Better net defense for them as they were able to block the plays of La Salle, first set kasi di nila mahuli huli plays ng La Salle. 3rd and 4th set nakuha ng UST.
Meron palang natatakan ng MIKASA sa mukha during that game, si Martinez tinamaan ng spike ni Bernal sa mukha. Good thing she’s ok tinanong pa nga daw siya ng 2nd ref kung oks lang siya. hehehehhe

In fairness, Fahfrd, UP played it close in the first set; forcing Adamson to spike their balls long because of the superior blocking of UP. Kaya lang naintimidate, tapos narealize ng Lady Falcons na kailangan nilang targetin yung floor defense ng UP, so they dropped the balls and/or fed the middle blockers so that Angela Benting could score the same point over and over and over.
The real threat in Adamson is Serafica, the greatest setter in the universe.
Kaasar, kailan ba V-League?!? Gusto kong magrevenge ang Adamson sa USTe! Especially now na kahit starting setter na si Tan, pinalitan pa rin siya ni Dimaculanagn from sets 2-4! Haha, wala lang.

Good to hear that it wasn’t a total washout of UP. I would like to watch that game.
I agree, Serafica is a very, very good setter. I think that she is currently leading the UAAP in average good sets per game.
However, I would have to disagree (in a friendly way) with you on the best setter in the land at this time.
Right now, I would have to put my money on Charisse Ancheta of SSC who was the best setter in the recent Shakey’s V-League
I think though, that Iratan, whom Ancheta replaced when Iratan graduated, is still better than Ancheta.
As with you, I wish that the Shakey’s V-League would begin again soon. I miss being able to watch Mary Jane Pepito. Hehehe…..
Don’t worry, you’ll still see ADU go up against UST in the 2nd round of the UAAP Eliminations

Crap UST lost to FEU. As usual slow starter UST kaya dun nag capitalize FEU. And good for FEU atleast they have their season 69 loss to UST during the finals.

@Rieze: I believe Adamson had its revenge to UST di ba? according to UNAWAKANAHIMO Adamson defeated UST int he finals of a certain inter-collegiate something held at RTU? Well thats according to him.
Bilog ang bola, Adamson has what it takes to defeat UST same goes for the other teams. Like FEU defeating UST just now.
And I believe this would be Balse’s last playing year. She will be a GREAT loss for the UST team.

Yup, just saw in one of the numerous Friendster accounts (purporting to be) of Denise Patricia Tan that UST lost to FEU this afternoon.
Did you guys know that there are about 100++ Friendster accounts purporting to be Denise Patricia Tan’s? I suspect that only about 4 or 5 of those are legit na owned by Denise. Unfortunately, those are probably the ones that are private.
Anyway, just shows how popular she is. She is really very pretty and her pictures show how cute she is. In love na naman ako sa kanya.

It really shows her in a different light
I know she is pretty, but I didn’t really know how pretty she is until I saw her other pictures. You know, the ones where she is not serious and focused on the game.
Her account says that she is married na daw.
I especially loved the pictures she had of Mary Jane Pepito. MJ, you are the one, my super cutey crushie.
Anyway, back to the UAAP, with the loss of UST to FEU, that makes it a very interesting 2nd round of games. I’m sure that coach August of UST would work his team hard for this loss.

FEU defeating UST is a REAL-THREAT to all contenders.. most especially to ADAMSON.

I really wish and hope that ateneo will be in the final four this season before charo ends up his school yrs in ateneo and before her playing term expires.SHes been playing with this team for more or less 4 yrs. Charo contributed a lot not only in this team ateneo but also in the uaap womens volleyball as whole ,she is a big factor on why this game is alive and continue to shine this season, this sports is now being been recognize by most of the people, they are starting to watch in their tv homes, even see it live in ateneo gym, volleyball fanatic person started to cheer for their favorite team and players, so charo is one of those player who really helps this sports known and famous in this era now.Charo’s fans also get to noticed/appreciate her sportmanship inside the court, she is a very nice/smart person, she scores/plays relentlessly but yet remain to be a humble person,she also quote†that she want to give something in return/back to ateneo who taught and supported her in one way or another and in many things she accomplish right now. charo really is a model volleyball player right now and nice person to look into. i hope this girl will not stop playing volleyball because she had so many admirers and avid fans outthere who wants to see her playing volleyball inside the court . i also hope that Phil sports commission will create a proffesional volleyball team or philippine volleyball association where bussiness owners/proprietor can indorse their bussiness product and can able to sponsor a team like for example creating womens volleyball for purefoods team, alaska milk volleyball team, san miguel beer volleyball team, and talk and text phone pal volleyball team.This can be achieve and possible thru advetisement and aired product indorsement,where this college player can be given an opportunity to play after their playing terms in colleges and universities expires.
