Too bad I wasn’t able to witness Vleague volleyball action last November 25 (Sunday) at The Arena. During the first match, San Sebastian College demolished De La Salle in 3 straight sets: 25-21, 25-20, 25-17. Best scorers were Carla Llaguno of De La Salle with a total of 10 won points, and Jing Bualee of San Sebastian College with 26 won points. De La Salle ends its Shakey’s V-League campaign making it to the semi-finals with a record of 3-8. The Lady Stags on the other hand, is on top of all teams with a 10-1 record.
The second match was obviously the much anticipated match up of the day. During the first Ateneo - UST game, the Lady Eagles prevailed in a thrilling 5-set match. So what happened during their second meet up during the semi-finals? Well, Ateneo played their true game and outclassed the UST Spikers in 4 sets: 20-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-22. Best scorers were Maria Angeli Tabaquero of UST with 16 won points, and Lithawat Kesinee of Ateneo with 29 points.
With both Ateneo and UST having a record of 8-3, a playoff game has been setup to take place on November 27 (Tuesday). The winner will become No.2 and claim the right to battle San Sebastian College for the Finals gold match in best of three. Go SSC Lady Stags!
Actually, I graduated from UP, Diliman. But these Lady Stags have been my fave team this year.
Mary Jane Pepito is, for me, the best and prettiest player on the court. In fact, she is one of the primary reasons I watch. Did you catch her interview on TV after being named the Player of the Match during that victory of SSC over UST? She was just so adorable and cute. She reminds me of an ex-gf of mine way back when.
And both Rysabelle Davanadera and Laurence Ann Latigay are quite pretty also. Plus, they are great volleyball players.
To be fair, I think Denise Patricia Tan and Maria Angeli Tabaquero of UST are both pretty too.
But Mary Jane Pepito is just DA BOMB. Any of you guys know her Friendster or Multiply account?

I agree with Rodvill, ang lalayo ng set ni Denise Tan sa last two games ng UST. Kaya nahihirapan sila Venus Bernal at Maryjane Balse sa spikes nila.
Si Maria Angeli Tabaquero lang ang nakaka-adjust ng mabuti.
By the way, I like that thing that she did with her hair where before she had long hair, now she shortened it but kept a few long strands that she braids into this cute long ponytail at her back.
Angeli is quite pretty. And I like the way she smiles impishly all the time.
Ginagaya rin siya ng ibang UST players sa style na ito.
I think that Torijos should be given a chance to be the setter, like coach August is doing for a few points while giving Denise a rest. Joanne Torijos is also a cute girl. Almost as cute at Denise Patricia Tan.

I believe the key for UST today will be the setting of Denise Patricia Tan.
If she is even average, then UST will win. If her form is as bad today as the last two games of UST, they will lose to Ateneo.
Whatever happens, I’m sure that Maria Angeli Tabaquero will come up big for UST, as usual.

Hindi ko na pala makikita sila Denise Patricia Tan at si Maria Angeli Tabaquero sa finals. Considering na sila pa ang defending champions.
Oh well, there is still the next V-League Conference. Plus, we’ll see them sa UAAP tournament.
I hope that Denise gets in shape for that. One thing I noticed about her is that she seemed to gain weight this past few months.
This will be a good series in the finals, SSC vs ADMU.
The talented but inconsistent SSC Lady Stags versus the solid and mentally tough ADMU Lady Eagles.
Of course, I’ll have to root for the SSC Lady Stags just because that is where cutey Mary Jane Pepito plays. Plus Rysabelle Devanadera and Laurence Ann Latigay. These 3 are my fave players, not just because they’re pretty but also because they’re good.
But it will be a close and tough series. ADMU never gives up and they’ll take advantage of the fact that SSC gets easily rattled and frustrated. Plus, they have the momentum winning the game versus UST.
I’ll pick SSC in the 3 games, but coach Roger will lose hair all during the series.
