My wife and I had a small vacation with some friends so I wasn’t able to watch the Shakey’s V-League semis match last Sunday. All data from this post were taken from the Shakey’s V-League Bulletin #19.
Shakey’s V-League Battle for Third Place:
Lyceum defeated La Salle in 3 sets: 25-19; 25-23; 25-19. Sanorseang Areerat (#12) and Manilla Santos (#14) provided most of the attacks for La Salle. As for the winning team Lyceum, it was the tandem of #9 Sherrilyn Carrillo and guest player #3 Josielyn Degorostiza. Areerat and Degorostiza were the game’s best scorers with total 14 won points out of 49 attempts and 19 out of 64 respectively.
Shakey’s V-League Championship Game 1:
UST won Game 1 of their Best of Three Finals match against San Sebastian. The scores were: 25-17; 25-12; 25-17. Venus Bernal (#12) was the best scorer for UST having a total of 19 won points out of 60 attempts. As for San Sebastian, it was Rysabelle Devanadera (#1) with 9 out 36. Jaroensri Bualee (#7) of San Sebastian and Mary Jean Balse (#5) also provided attacks for their respective teams.
Game 2 will take place this July 3 Tuesday 3pm at The Arena, San Juan. If UST wins, they become the champions.

manilla santos and rachell anne daquis rules… these two players are great! how come they know how to play volleyball? hehehe… sa ganda nilang yun, at first i cant believe na they play this kind of game… but when i saw them play, my god, i was amazed… they were great.. you rule guys…
